Amin Sthapit murder trial
Introduction
This case is based on the murder case in which it is seen that the murder was done by Roy
Abanales Tabalbag. This case states that the murder took place because of the unethical step
was taken by an individual. The girlfriend has taken a step which was unethical and also, she
was indulged in a physical act with his lover. This paper will help to showcase the overall
ethical theories by focusing on the case and also it is analyzed that accused was disappointed
with the step taken by his girlfriend.
In the case given it can be seen that accused was only guilty of the manslaughter but he
was not guilty of the murder done. This step was conducted by Roy just because his girlfriend
is not loyal towards him. This paper will elaborate on the ethical theories concerned with this
entire case.
Utilitarianism theory
In this theory, it can be evaluated that "Jermy Bentham" has discussed the concept. The
feelings are taken according to the activities conducted by a person. Of the act reflects the
overall utility then it will be considered as the best concept (West, 2018). One of the factors
which reflect consequentialism is Ego. Also, this theory takes into consideration the concept
of equality in which the emphasis will be given on consequentialism and also analysis will be
made effectively (Martin, 2016).
The utilities are considered so that actions can take place in a proper way. This case shows
that the girlfriend of the accused was engaged in the sexual act and when Roy saw her he was
not able to control the anger. It can be seen that when the behavior of a person is related then
it can enhance anger (Wedgwood, 2018). It is essential for an individual to have self-control
so that unethical actions cannot take place. It is not possible to control the anger because it
can make the person sad and disappointed. It is seen that when a person is disappointed then
they are not able to conduct the actions in a proper way (Broad, 2014).
Anger is also the factor which shows a change in the behaviour. It is essential for an
individual to manage the disappointment so that ethical actions can be done. Ethics helps to
manage the actions of an individual. If ethics in relation is there then it can be possible to stay
with each other in a proper manner (Hartman, DesJardins & MacDonald, 2014).

When an individual is engaged in an unethical act then it is seen that the person has to face
penalties and punishments. The unethical act which has taken place by Roy is murder it is
one of the unethical acts of the law. If a person secures themselves them the activities which
take place is not considered as unethical in every situation. The person who was killed was
Amin Sthapit and this is one of the act which took place. It is seen that at the time of
conducting the work programs it is evaluated that this theory focuses on managing the
activities of the society and also the prosperity can be maintained in the society.
Deontology Theory
This concept considers the morale of a person and it is essential to focus on the policies so
that the actions can be conducted accordingly. To take a proper decision it is important to
focus on the ethics so that in a right way the actions can be taken (Chadwick & O'Connor,
2015). There are various obligations which reflect morality and a various factor related to
external and internal and it should be maintained in a proper way. In an individual, it is
important to follow proper morals so that link can be maintained with the concept (Hoover &
Pepper, 2015).
In the case, the lover was killed by Tabalbag and it is seen that unethical action was taken
place. The defender of Tabalbag states that the accused killed the person in anger but it is
seen that government imposes various rules and policies so that person cannot be able to
indulge in the wrong act. This act was done because he was not able to control the anger at
that time and also the act which has taken place is not considered by giving emphasis on this
theory. Punishments are framed so that people can take corrective actions and can conduct
the work in an effective manner.
Virtue theory
It can be evaluated that this theory has a linkage with the proper comparison of an
individual. Power related to thinking is also the process and traits and habits of an individual
give the proper outcome. Expression of the people is also one of the factors which are seen in
the theory. The expression tells about the actions which have taken place (Campbell, 2016).
The case highlights the behaviour of the accused and also it is seen that it has a link with
the behaviour of a person. Ethics vary and each and every individual have different aspects so
it is seen that if an individual conduct the activities ethically then it can be possible to achieve

positive outcomes. The girlfriend of the accused is not loyal and honest and she was only the
reason for the act which took place. The murder which was done is considered as an unethical
act and this action is taken because of the lack of self-control.
Contract theory
To live in the society in a happy manner it is important to consider proper rules and
regulations so that environment can be maintained in an effective manner. It can be seen that
rules and regulations play a great role to conduct the activities in a smooth manner (Paquette,
Sommerfeldt & Kent, 2015). Positive results are the reasons of the good ethics in an
individual. People will have to face the punishment and if an unethical act is done then it can
give negative impact on the life (Ess, 2015). There are various concepts that are connected
with the contract theory and it focuses on proper rules so that activities can be conducted in a
managed manner. Relations should be maintained so that success can be attained in an easy
manner. A happy life can be lived by the people if they focus on the ethical concepts.
It is seen that when the focus is given in this case it is important for Tabalbag to consider
proper rules so that liability can be reduced. It is important to maintain good environment so
that activities can be conducted ethically and in right manner. It is essential to focus on
equality so that people can take a corrective step. The unethical act was conducted by
Tabalbag and the motive behind the act is to secure him. Tabalbag is responsible for the
unethical act and also has to face punishment and it has given negative impact in the society.
Conclusion
Ethical issues and theories are considered in this paper in which it is seen that it should be
implemented in this act so that activities can be conducted in a smooth manner. According to
the time it is seen that motivation factor keeps on varying and it is important to act in an
ethical way. If a person is doing a wrong act then it can give negative impact on the society as
well as on individual. At last the theories are linked to the murder case and proper
explanation is made which shows proper evaluation. The analysis is made of the act done by
the accused and it is important to consider the theories so that activities can be conducted in a
managed form. In this proper elaboration are made of the different concepts and theories so
