INTRODUCTION
Organisational behaviour is the study of human mind in workplaces in order to overcome
the challenges of organisation (Wood and et.al., 2019). OBM is focusing on identifying
problematic situations in organisation. This is necessary for an organisation that they should
identify the human related problems so that they can make strategies in order to overcome with
the challenges. In this context, TESCO is undertaking which is the UK based organisation that
deals in supermarket store. In their supermarket store, it is found that organisation is providing
many types of products and services. They have a large market share and large number of
employees. They are facing a problem of understanding employees' behaviour. This report will
be discussing the complexities of human behaviour in the workplaces and their impact on the
success of company. This report will be cover two important topics which is crucial for
organisation to consider in the business practices.
MAIN BODY
Organisational behaviour is defined as the study of individual and group performance in
organisation. It is deal with the systematic study and application of knowledge in an organisation
for analysing the behaviour of an individual that what are the factors affects on employees'
performances (Kitchen, 2020). With the assistance of organisational behaviour, organisation is
able to analyse employees that how they work. TESCO is the large organisation that has number
of employees who are working in company. It is found by TESCO that every employee has
different perception, thinking, culture and nature. Due to this, their thoughts are not match with
other employees and employer that may be create problems for organisation. There is high
chances of occurring conflicts between employees as all have different thinking level.
Every day the complexities for organisation is increasing due to many factors such as
competition, growth and success, etc. It is crucial for an organisation that they need to
understand the behaviour of individual as well as group so that they can reduce the negative
impact of complexities on employees' performances. It is found that complexities of human
behaviour provides a great impact on the success of organisation as the employees' performances
are affected. Due to this, company needs to motivate and encourage their employees towards

organisational goals and objectives. In addition to this, company should make strategies for
dealing with diverse team members.
Motivation
Motivation is the ability that helps employees to encourage employees towards
organisational goals and objectives. In organisation, it is found that employees need motivation
in each and every stage (Sopiyana and Soelingc, 2020). The reason behind this is that there are
many complexities are increasing which affects on the organisational operations and
performances. It is necessary for an organisation that they should understand the importance of
motivation as it helps in overcoming the complexities of employees. Human resources are the
important and valuable assets which should be effectively manage by organisation in order to run
business successfully. There are many complexities found in human behaviour in the workplaces
and it is identified that they need motivation in order to deal with complexities. It is found that
all complexities of organisation is increasing which can be deal with the assistance of
motivation. TESCO is the large organisation that run their business in global market. They have
large number of employees who are working for their organisation. After pandemic, it is
identified that employees are facing problems as they are not in a situation to work. Due to
pandemic, there jobs are lost and even after post pandemic conditions they still not find any job.
It is found that organisations have financial crisis due to long lock down which provided a severe
impact on the organisation (Harry Gnanarajan and Kengatharan, 2021. This is very important for
them to get motivation so that they can overcome with the impact of pandemic.
It is found that now employees are not using their full potential in organisational work
which reduces the profitability as well as productivity of organisation. Every person has different
nature and that's why organisation needs to sue different motivation techniques that helps them
to motivate and encourage towards organisational goals and objectives. In addition to this, it is
also found that organisational behaviour is playing an important role in the process of analysing
the behaviour of employees (Richards, 2021). They can easily get to know the demands and
needs of employees which assist them to take right action in order to satisfy employees. When
employees get satisfied from their job role then it will automatically impact on their work
performances. This is crucial for an organisation to use different motivation techniques for
different people in the organisation so that they are able to achieve objectives. It is also found

that employees get motivated for performing best with the motivation techniques. According to
organisational behaviour study, every person has different demand and needs which should be
understand by organisation in order to increase their contribution. This will assists TESCO to
grow and become a successful business. TESCO used two types of motivation that are intrinsic
and extrinsic.
Intrinsic motivation is comes from within. It is actually driven from individual needs
and demands which are different from each individual. It is necessary for an organisation to
understand that each person has different desires which should be analysed in order to provide
motivation (Shah, Anwar and Irani, 2017). Every person has different mind set which needs to be
analysed so that TESCO can give reason of intrinsic motivation. For example, TESCO is
providing a target of sales to the sales executives and motivate that if they achieve a target then
they will have an opportunity of career growth. This type of motivation is comes under intrinsic
motivation which is necessary for an organisation to apply those kind of employees.
Extrinsic motivation: It is the type which is suited to the employees who need some
external motivation such as salary, perks, etc. Such type of employees can easily motivate with
they assistance of financial perks.
It is identified that organisations should understand the importance of motivation and for
that purpose, they can also use the theories of motivation. One important theory is Maslow's
hierarchy theory in which they have five stages according to the needs and wants of employees.
It is crucial for TESCO to understand the needs and wants of employees with the application of
this theory. In this theory, it includes physiological, security, social, esteem and self
actualisation. These are the needs and wants level which are necessary to understand of
employees in order to provide assistance that helps them to meet with the desires (Da Veiga, and
et.al., 2020). This will results in effective motivation which is crucial for an organisation to

achieve objectives. In addition to this, company needs to understand the importance of different
motivational factors. It is found that motivation is given a great impact on the human behaviours.
It is also analysed that it also assist in effective performance that results in success and growth
oaf an organisation.
Individual difference and diversity
It is identify that TESCO is the organisation that have a diversified workforce. Due to
this, it is found that it is creating issues between employees as every employee has different
perception and thinking level. It is very important for organisations to understand the individual
difference and diversity. Due to diverse culture in an organisation, it is found that employees are
not accepting other people' thoughts and it results in conflicts between them. It is giving an
impact on the work productivity and performances of employees. This is the reason that
company should make a culture which accept different people from different traditions, customs,
religions, etc. Organisational behaviour is playing a crucial role in resolving individual
differences and diversity in the organisation. With the assistance of organisational behaviour, it
is found that organisation can understand the needs and wants of employees and they can easily
motivate towards organisational goals and objectives. Individual differences are necessary to
understand and valuing by organisation as they are increasing in the workplaces which provides
an impact on organisational success and growth. There are some points are mentioned below that
shows the importance of organisational behaviour in the organisation:
It is identified that diversity and inclusion are very important for organisational success
and growth. Organisational values, ability of providing respect, use of different
perspective, etc. are necessary to consider by organisation in order to encourage
employees to participate in declension making process (Lamprakis and et.al., 2018). It
helps an organisation to increase inclusion in the company. Those companies which are
efficient in understanding valuing diversity and inclusion are enables to represent their
organisation in market.
It is crucial for an organisation that they should understand each employee behaviour as it
gives a great impact on their way of work. Their performance is depend on the treating
way of organisation. That's why it is crucial on order to become a successful business,
they need to do a study human behaviour.

There are many situations comes in the organisation that affects on the individual;

necessary for an organisation to understand the reason of individual differences and try to

factors found in the organisation that gives a great impact on the success of organisation.
In this case, it is found that human behaviour is one of the important elements which
affects on success and growth of an organisation (Milde and Kjenstad, 2021). It is found
from above discussion that human behaviour is not easy to understand as every person
has different perception which affects on their work performance.
It is also analysed from the above discussion that company needs to understand the
behaviour of employees so that they are able to decide that which factor motivate
employees. Every person has different needs and wants so that's why there motivational
factors are also different. It is crucial for an organisation to provide motivation which can
be any type according to the employees' needs and wants such as intrinsic and extrinsic
so that they can improve their performances.

The last finding which is founds that TESCO is the large organisation and that's why they
have large number of employees who work in their company. It is founds that they have a
diversified work culture and due to this, they are facing many problems as it includes
every type of employees who have different religion, culture, tradition, etc. Due to this,
their work performances are getting affected which needs to be analyse so that company
is able to overcome with the problems.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded from the above discussion that organisational behaviour is necessary
to understand by an organisation. There are many employees who work in the organisation who
have different opinions and perception level. It is crucial for an organisation to understand their
behaviour so that company can able to satisfy each employee in the organisation. There are many
challenges are found in the organisation which needs to be overcome as it gives a direct impact
on the success of organisation. Human behaviour is necessary to understand so that company
find measures in order to deal with complexities of human behaviour. This report covered two
important topics that are motivation and diversity in organisation. Both are crucial for an
organisation to understand the importance as they are playing a crucial role in the behaviour of
employees. This report covered findings from the literature of these two topics. This will assists
them to understand that how organisational behaviour helps to overcome with all complexities
with the use of motivation and effective management of diversity.
RECOMMENDATIONS
There are many challenges found in the process of organisational behaviour. The reason
behind this is human nature is complex and it gives a great impact on organisational
performances. There are some recommendation which helps an organisation to overcome with
the complexities of human behaviour:
It is found that human nature is complex which is difficult to understand by organisation.
So that's why it is recommended to the organisation that they should increase employees
engagement in the workplaces. Employees engagement is necessary as it helps company
to understand their nature and behaviour. They can able to reduce the complexities of an
human behaviour.

It is also recommended that company should use motivation theories in the organisation
after identifying their needs so that employees feel motivated towards organisational
goals and objectives. Every person has different motivation factors that influences their
performances. So company should identify those motivation factors that helps to increase
motivation towards achievement of organisational goals and objectives.
Company should make the organisational culture accordingly in which all employees are
treated equally and get pay according to their work performance. They should also make
the diversified culture and provide them training to accept other people.
