Critical theory: Under this theory the communication in organisation take place so as to
resolve conflicts, prevent problems between group of people, encouraging and motivating
employees so that they can efficiently use their skills and talents and providing direction
to employees as to how they have to perform the task given to them. Thus this theory
focuses on managers in managing the work in company so that employees can be
motivated to increase their work performance and efficiency. It is also related with
allocation of budget between departments so that they can work efficiently and achieve
company goals on time.
Information theory: This theory is concerned with flow of information in organisation
with minimum mistakes so that the messages cannot be misinterpreted and the meaning
of messages and information can remain the same while passing through various
departments. It thus focuses on making the accuracy of information flow effective so tat
the messages are interpreted in the same meaning as desired (Brewster and et. Al., 2017).
Post positive theory: This theory means that communication in company flow in a natural

company so that work can be carried out smoothly.

employees so that they can efficiently use their skills and talents and providing direction

Go Travel use the practice of hierarchical communication wherein the communication flows

from top management level to the lower levels. In this the top management convey the messages
to the department managers who in exchange give the information to the team managers which is
conveyed to the team leaders and finally reaches to the employees who have to complete the task
by using the information so conveyed to them. In this practice the information travels through
various stages which affect the quality of information when it finally reaches to the employees
thus also affecting the results of company (Demirag, 2018).
The communication barriers which are faced in Travel Go are that the information travel
through various stages which affects the meaning of message as it travels through many
individuals. Also the quality and meaning of message can get affected as everyone understands
the information in a different manner. Following are the other communicational barriers faced in
Travel Go:
Cultural barriers: These are the barriers related to having employees belonging to
different cultures in company who can interpret the meaning of information differently.
This also affects the quality of information thereby leading to a deviation from desired
results.
Organisational structure barrier: The flow of information in Travel Go is hierarchical
which means that the messages have to flow through various stages thereby affecting the
quality of information. It is thus important that a less complex structure of
communication is chosen like flat structure which can make the flow of information in
company effective.
Perception barrier: It is the barrier which is faced due to different perception levels of
employees which means that the employees understand the meaning of a message
differently based on their perception, skills and knowledge which also affect the quality
of information and the meaning can be changed due to this (Golob and et. Al., 2017).
Technological barriers: Travel Go is also lacking in the technologies which are required
to send information in company so that it can be reached the concerned employees on
time so that tasks can be completed on time.
Principles of effective communication
There are certain principles which must be applied while transferring information in an
organisation so that effective communication can take place. Following are some of the

Principle of clarity: It is important that the messages and information which is circulated
in the company is clear and is easy to understand by all the employees. It is also
important that the language used to circulate the information is understandable by the
employees which can help in deriving effective meaning from the information. Clarity
improves the interpretation of message and the workers can carry out their work in a
desired manner so that company goals are efficiently achieved (TEKİNER, 2016).
Principle of attention: In order to make communication effective it is important that the
attention of receiver is drawn towards the message. This can be done by telling the
workers that their capability to work effectively depends on the information being
transferred and they will be awarded based on their level of performance. This will help
in seeking the attention of employees as they will listen actively so that they can perform
their tasks in an efficient manner.
Principle of feedback: It means that feedback from recipient must be taken so that it can
be known if they are able to understand the information in the manner desired or not
which will help in making communication more effective and understandable.
Principle of consistency: This relates to the circulation of information in the organisation
on proper time which helps in the proper implementation of plan. It is thus important that
right information is given to the concerned people on right time so that task can be
efficiently completed (Seidl, 2016).
