The Health Care Reform Bill was passed in the year 2010, under the presidentship of Barrack
Obama, in the United States, with the objective of modifying the health care sector and to
provide the Medicaid to the common people without any hindrance, whatsoever (Blumenthal &
Collins, 2014). The bill was passed with the consent of the majority of members in the senate
and reached the magic figure of 216; the results of the vote being 219 to 212 (Jacobs & Skocpol,
2015). Right after the approval of the Bill by the Congress, Barrack Obama expressed his views
and intentions and stated that the Act may not be capable of doing away with all the ailments in
the existent healthcare system; however it will herald a new beginning in the system of
healthcare in America.
