political leader in the United States. The public is interested in the idea regarding leadership, and
many individuals are in a dilemma on what traits make an effective leader (Simonet & Tett, 013).
The organizations look for leaders with abilities who can improve the ultimate situation of the
organization (Northouse, 2015). Researchers such as Hickman 2009, analyzes leaders from the
trait or behavioral perspective. Donald Trump, who is the current president of the United States,
is famous for his effective traits in leadership evidence within various institutions and in his
current position as a president.
There are various types of leadership such as the situational and the transformational
leadership. The situation leadership is a theory developed by Paul Hersey, and it facilitates the
advantages of incorporating different styles of management to meet the needs of individuals
within the organization. The transformational leadership involves a way in which the leader leads
an institution through transformation, by directing the organizational processes as well as the
operations (Northouse, 2015). Based on the situational and transformational leadership, Donald
Trump employs various traits for effective leadership. For instance, he is a risk taker, team
builder, and a hard worker hence the situational and transformational leadership are evident.
Based on ethics, leaders such as Donald Trump creates consistent and clear agendas,
model behaviors, set the standards for the nation and hold the accountability of every individual.

critical skills as much as the focus on the foundational skills. Donald Trump also exercises team
leadership since he guides and directs the people of the United States with a purpose of achieving
positive results (Cianci, Hannah, Roberts & Tsakumis, 2014). Therefore, every leader should
adopt changes and organizational leadership to blend the theory of practice hence the individuals
can reflect on the leadership experiences evident (Datta, 2015). Based on Donald Trump’s
leadership, leaders should embrace various traits for effective leadership. For instance, leaders
should have clear priorities since they help Trump to protect the rights of the people. Leaders
should be financial understanding like trump to gain a successful empire behind them.
Public perception is a social theory and is viewed as the disparity between the truths
which are either virtual or absolute based on the media coverage, reputation, and the individual
opinion (Hickman, 2009). For instance, many individuals in the United States do not like the
method of leadership adopted by Donald Trump. However, a good public perception prevails
since he has created an inspiring image for the future of the people in the United States. He
works hard, and he says that he sleeps less. It shows that he is a passionate leader who is focused
to develop the nation. I agree with public perception since it is based on truth and not inaccuracy.
This is because the public receives factual ideas and a general opinion is developed for a public
figure. Donald Trump considers public perception especially during his campaigns, and he wants
every individual to trust in his leadership (Northouse, 2015). My interpretation is that leaders
should focus on establishing a positive public perception ensures things are in motion. At some

media interviews and the public speeches to minimize negative public perception.
In conclusion, based on various theories, leadership is an important concept hence leaders
