Article 14 of Part II as provided in the Constitution of UAE shall be considered to be a
significant portion of the aforementioned nation’s Constitution that contributes in the progress
and development of the nation of United Arab Emirates. Article 14 of the Constitution provides
that social justice, equality, and the provision of security, safety and equivalent opportunities to
every citizen, are considered to be the pillars that act as the ground or basis in relation to the
community. Solidarity and other common understandings are other close connections that bind
the Emirates together (Kumaraswamy, Quamar & Singh, 2019).
The notion of equality ensures and guarantee the every person in given populace are
provided with the equal opportunity in every aspect of their lives. No individual should be
deprived of such opportunity due to the reasons such as the birth of that individual, where that
individual may have come from, the belief of that individual, or in relation to the disability of
that individual. Hence, it may be said that if equality is not provided to every individual in a
nation, and the individuals are discriminated on several grounds, then such a condition shall not
lead to progress and advancement of the nation. Equality must be ensured in order to ensure the
progress of UAE (Pinto, 2019).
Social justice is considered to be a notion relating to just and fair relations regarding the
society and the individual. It may be said that social justice as quantified by
the opportunities relating to private activity, distribution or allocation regarding wealth and the
social privileges. Social justice dispenses and apportions responsibilities, obligations and rights
in the establishments of the society that empowers and supports the individuals to obtain the
rudimentary burdens and benefits relating to cooperation. Therefore, institutions such as public
health, public services, public schools, taxation, labor law and market regulations of the nation of

UAE should guarantee equal opportunity and fair allocation regarding wealth, so that it may
result in the progress and development of UAE (Blaik Hourani, Litz & Jederberg, 2020).
Security and safety is considered to be a significant pillar in relation to a well advanced
state or nation. In this regard, technology play a significant function. Vehicle tracking
technology, CCTVs, GPS are considered to be essential in relation to security and safety. In
addition to such technology, it is necessary that quick, consistent, dependable and full-proof
security and safety aid and support should be provided to the populace of a nation in order to
provide protection to the individuals from actual or apparent harm (Al Shamsi, 2019).
