INTRODUCTION
Virtual learning environment is growing rapidly as the technology is updating day by day. The
improvement in technology provides a platform to the students as well as teachers sop that they
can interact digitally and learn new things online. It helps people to communicate and collaborate
on the topics so that through emails, notices, blogs they can make learning resources. Live video
conferencing and audio conferencing makes it even more easier and convenient for the people to
be in touch anytime anywhere and solve the the problems. Virtual learning also provides quizzes
to students that will help them to test their knowledge about a specific subject or a specific topic.
Aim : To analyse and determine the impact of virtual learning environment.

Rationale:
The main aim of this research is to find out the benefits and the challenges faced by the students
while using virtual learning environment. There are plenty of reasons to use virtual learning but
also there are challenges that can have an impact on the students and will have future
implications. By using virtual learning environment the students and the teachers will get a
chance to be more advanced in the digital platforms and it will also help them to store and create
learning resources an have an access of them anytime and anywhere. Moreover this research
helped me in gaining a lot of knowledge about virtual learning environment which will be useful
for my future career.

Literature review
According to Racheva (2021) the concept of virtual learning environment associates with the
enhance experience of online learning by using computers and internet which can be used both
inside and outside of the educational building or location. The concept helps the teachers to
examine about the behaviour of the students while learning online. It also helps the students to
gain knowledge about the subjects and help them to develop their overall mindset about the
syllabus. It also helps the teachers to study the behaviour of the students as well as give the
teachers new techniques about learning which are much more effective and efficient as compared
to traditional techniques. Virtual learning are a platform that can help the teachers ass well as
students to collaborate on group projects and take benefits of the knowledge of each other. This
will create a learning environment which helps the students to develop their minds and reach to a
wide range of learning material. It helps the students to engage in activities that can enhance
their creative capabilities and helps them to gain knowledge from all over the world. They are
really helpful when it comes to the development of the future career of the students and help the
students to be the best.
According to Muylle ( 2018), there are various of benefits of virtual learning and the biggest
advantage is that the students and the teachers have the access to the study material or the
learning material anytime and anywhere which means that this will provide a flexibility and
convenience to the students as well as teachers. It can connect students of different regions who
come together and collaborate in order to find the solutions of the problems also it collaborates
the teachers from all around the world that help them to find new and attractive ways of teaching
so that the students can learn with more efficiency and the learning techniques will get more
effective. It can give the students a wide reach to the study material and help them to gain
knowledge about anything (The advantages of virtual learning environments for Business
Schools 2018.). They are no m ore limited to the geographical boundaries and are able to
increase their potential and talent with the help of virtual learning. It can help in improving the
technical abilities of the students which will help them in their future career and will help them
to take their decisions about their careers. They can choose whatever they wants to be as they
have a wide knowledge about the fields in which they are interested. Wide range of choices
about the career helps the students to choose what is best for them.

According to Kumar (2015), students face various challenges while dealing with virtual learning
environment such as adaptability issues that are faced by the students and teachers as the
technology is new for people and traditional study techniques are very much known to students
as well as teachers. The resistance to change restricts students to adapt the online learning
environment and it is completely new for the students to handle Course Management System
which make them to avoid virtual learning. Another issues that are faced by the students as well
as teachers is related to technology. Technical issues are not new and these issues are faced by all
the people as everyone may not have a strong internet connection or high bandwidth. It makes it
difficult for the students and teachers to cope with the Course Management System and may
have a bad experience of using the system (5 Common Problems Faced By Students In
eLearning And How To Overcome Them, 2015.). Self motivation is a must requirement for e-
learning or virtual learning as after enrolling for online courses the students may feel lack of
motivation and give up the idea of learning. Another big issues is to invest in a good and proper
technological software which will help in learning and it might be difficult for all the students to
arrange or purchase these software as well as hardware. Virtual learning requires parents support
and collaboration so that the students can get access to the learning material. The students might
not be able to get access as working parents might not be able to present whenever the child
needed.
Primary and secondary data- Primary data refers to the data or information which is
first time collected by better analysing the results related to a problem. It will include various
methods such as interview, survey, and questionnaire. For this research report Questionnaire is
consider for collecting the information. While secondary data refer to the source of information
which is already collected by someone and available through book, internet, journal and so on.
For this report ocean model is used which will help the researcher in better analysing the
information.
Research approach defines the procedure of completing a research (Epstein and Salinas,
2018). Their are two types of research approach first one is deductive and other one is inductive
research approach. For this research deductive approach is used which help researcher in
developing comprehensive understanding towards virtual learning environment on students.

research, survey, interview, experimental research, case study and so on. For the present research
online survey research strategy is used which provide real data collection and achieve relevant
information about research.
Data collection
Research onion will suggest various methods such as mono-method, mixed method, multi
method. The mixed method will includes two important methods of research which are
qualitative and quantitative methodology. For this research quantitative data research is used
which helps in achieving the objective.
Time Horizon
It is related to the time frame of the research. It is divided into two important parts which
are cross sectional and longitudinal. Cross-sectional data is used when all observations are for
single time and longitudinal data is related to a observation of a particular variable which is
available for several years. For this research cross-sectional data is used.
Data sources
There are two type of sources from where necessary information is collected which are
primary and secondary source. For this report primary source is used for which online survey is
conducted.
Data analysis
It refers to a stage which helps in describing, depicting and evaluating the final data. It
has two important methods which are frequency and thematic data analysis (Fu, and et. al. 2020).
For this report frequency data analysis method is used which helps in conducting a unbiased
research.
Research sampling
In this step best ample group is conducted for effective data collection in the research. It
was divided into two important parts first one is probabilistic and other one is non-probabilistic
research sampling method. For this report probabilistic method is used so that the research is
conducted on less time.

such as questionnaire, online survey, interview, observations and so on (Nyaga, 2021). This
research is based on online survey which is a cost effective methodology.

Secondary data analysis
It refers to a research methodology which helps in collecting necessary information
related to research from the source which are already available in the market. Virtual learning
environment which is commonly used by many educational institutes which helps in providing
better knowledge to a large numbers of students. For effective use of virtual learning
environment contemporary method is used. This method remove various barriers from the
educational institutes and improve student’s experience (Torres and Nyaga, 2021).
After analysing the above information it was analysis that both the primary data and
secondary information are same and analysis that virtual learning will provide better quality of
knowledge to their students. The primary research will provide the highly accurate information
on the other hand the secondary data will provide the quick and right information.

From above discussion on this research it is analysed that virtual learning environment is
commonly used by many institutes for providing better quality of knowledge to their students. It
play an important role for both teachers and students. For successfully completing this research
onion framework is used which defines various research methodology and investigation. For
providing better quality of knowledge to students educational institutes needs to remove work on
various barriers which influence the virtual learning environment.
