Communication is a tool of exchanging information and transferring messages from place, person or group to another. Every communication at
least involves two person a sender and a receiver, there can be more people involved in communication but minimum two people are compulsory
for completing a communication (Wong, Lim and Baker, M, 2019). Communication is a very essential process which every human being
undertakes and practice every day for sending all required data.
Common challenges and barriers to effective communication
Several factors are involved while communication is taking place and there are many components which act as barriers when information is
being transferred. Some of the barriers of communication which are present in the environment of the bus company are present here:
Language barrier- One complaint which was addressed by the customers is about the attitude of drivers towards the people who use English as
their second language. The drivers are unable to understand and communicate properly with those customers who do not speak English.
Therefore, language serves as a huge barrier for drivers as well as visitors for communication and conveying what they actually want to say.
Lack of attention- Another communication barrier which is present in the bus company is lack of attention of senior managers and others on the
drivers and their internal relations with one another was also not good (Denton Jr, Trent and Friedenberg, 2019). The drivers had no connection
with the management and other higher staff to express and communicate their work related problems. This made them frustrated, impacts of
those were clearly visible on their activities and performance.
Developing strategies for overcoming communication barriers
Communication is a very effective and useful procedure which is part of day to day activities of every individuals. Various barriers are
discussing in above section in context of communication in the bus company and now some methods are discussed to overcomes those
challenges of communication.
Regular meetings- Managers and senior management have to have regular meetings in which all staff members should be invited.
Through this it will help all the drivers to get to know each other and also communicate their problems and other issues to management. This will
enable drivers to develop and maintain good relations with one another and enables management to seek better understanding of their employees.
This is one of the potential solution and factor through which organisation can overcome some challenges they face in order to communicate.

Human beings comes from different regions and follow different culture having separate believes and viewpoints. These cultural
