How do you think today’s young consumers (Millennials) have had an impact on consumer
behavior?
There have been a lot of change in the consumer behavior since the past generations. This
is one of the major aspect that is to be considered in the process is that there is an introduction of
digital platform that have been influencing millenials in their though process. As the entire
society is completely based on the thought process of the youths, it can be stated that there will
be a complete change in the processing of the consumers.
There have been a change in the needs and wants of the millenials in terms of consumers.
There have been a change in the communication process. Introduction of globalized
consumerism is one of the major aspect that is considered in the operational process of the
change in thought process of consumer behavior. Since the introduction of internet the main
aspect that is to be considered is that audience and consumers have been gaining interest in
global fashion as they have the access to the products that are present globally. This have been
influencing the consumer demand of the millenials.
Their mode of communication have also been changing. Presence of internet in the
communication process have been benefitting the entire process as well. This is one of the major
aspect that is to be considered. The communication is generally made virtually and there have
been a complete change in the communicating process since the last generation. This is
considered to be important as in that they believed e 1980’s people generally stayed in groups
and they thought it was to stay in any one particular group, gradually the staying in group started
decreasing and today the millenials do not believe in staying in groups as they feel that it is
important to express themselves and also accept the ideology of other people. Creation of content
as per one’s essence have also been affecting the communication process. This is one of the

major reason that proper understanding of the demands of today’s consumers have been getting
more important. After discussion it can be stated that the entire communication process is
performed via social media platform. It can be stated that with the introduction of social media
creation of several short term relationship have been made, which can be considered to be much
different from that of the previous generations. Hence wise it can be stated that there will be
several aspects in which the millenails are different from their previous generations.
Another aspect that is to be considered for change in the consumer behavior is that they
believe in open sourcing as well as cloud sourcing. Both these aspects are completely dependent
in the internet. Hence it can be stated that internet have been the major reason of change in the
operational process.
Hence from the above discussion it can be stated that the entire mind set of millenials
have been different to that of the previous generations and acceptance of different ideologies is
also higher. Hence there is an diverse range of demand as a consumer.
