Holocaust, genocide and Nazi are some of the most heard name term in past history and
impacted today's generation as well. Mass killing of people were taking place in world war as
Nazis where taking control over Germany and destroying every thing which comes in front of
them. Red Army advanced Germany have not only killed Jews, but they started killing Sinai and
Roma as well, destruction was not scalable, millions of people have died and horror of war was
still continued (Brenner, 2021). This book highlight role of Raphael Lemkin during times of war,
this young Jews lawyer from Poland had escaped holocaust but his family was killed. Lemkin
continued to study about Nazi and holocaust and highlighted how human slaughtering was
common in the era of Hitler, jumping from holocaust to genocide, this was against humanity and
need to be stopped before whole world is wiped out.
After mass killing of people, it was very clear that this need to be stopped by signing
convention between state. Immediately after Nuremberg trail, United Nation General Assembly
took place to craft convention to completely stop genocide. Although general assembly was not
law making body which was not effective to criminals of war, this convention was terminated by
these criminal. Creating law against holocaust was necessary to stop mass killing of people by
Nazi, world war was slowing coming down and convention was getting stronger. The drafter of
convention were knew that holocaust and genocide was danger for humanity and leaders who
tend to use international law for mass killing of people.
