The interview was good and it was organized and well structured. The people that were
considered in the interview were supportive and the real picture of the practical world came into
the forefront. It was a different experience for me. I came to know the different thoughts and
varied opinions of the people whom I was interviewing.
The person I was interviewing was cooperative and it helped me to conduct the interview
in a smooth way. The person was not happy in his real life. He was a soft spoken person but he
was a materialistic person. For him happiness was money and some valuable gifts. The
interviewer as a person was humble and generous and task oriented wise he was cooperative and
had an encouraging attitude. The interesting aspect of the nature of the person was that he judged
happiness with money. Money was the personification of happiness for him. This directs the fact
that the person had little importance for emotions and feelings. More than emotions and feelings
money is the source of happiness for him.

The two fragments of interview used by me were the online interview and the face to face
interview. I focused on the behavioral and the Star method. I concentrated on the behavioral
attitude in order to make the interviewer make comfortable. This is a positive and preferred
component of interview. The face to face interview is feasible for both the interviewer and the
interviewee. The interview conducted online is another favorable method. This makes the
interview process lively and interactive. I made the interaction friendly for the interviewer so that
he could answer freely and the session could be an interactive one. For example, I started the

interview not directly with the topic of discussion but with the history of his family and about
him. The other thing I did was I encouraged the interviewee to narrate some anecdotes that
occurred in his life that were related to happiness. This made the interview interesting and
healthy.

In spite of the positive things there was some amount of negative things that occurred in
the interview. I committed three mistakes while conducted the interview. The first and foremost
mistake made by me was I was too personal as I asked the interviewee about his personal life.
This was negative side of the interview. The other mistake made by me was I was too subjective
which breaks the flow of the interview. The other thing that could have been better was my
questions. I missed out some questions that I thought would ask. It could have been more
interesting.

After completing the interview I could gather a vague vision of the concept of happiness.
The most important part of the interview was my experience the realization of my own
drawbacks of conducting interviews. I gathered the fact that in order to conduct interviews there
should be a proper structure of question and the questions should be planned so that no questions
gets missed out. The result of the interview was that money had an important place in the world.
The contemporary concept was that money could even buy happiness. Therefore happiness is
something that has no specific meaning. It is an emotion that keeps changing according to the
situation. It is not static and no human being can receive that in an ultimate form in his life. This
is what I could gather from the interview.
