Workplace factors impacting the quality issue and SWOT analysis
of health care service
There are some major workplace factors impacting the quality issue and
these are mentioned as –
Patient cooperation.
Healthcare system.
Type of illness which the patient is facing.
The root cause analysis for medical error is the communication problem
which is arisen and this impacts the medical processes which are to be
undertaken within the clinical practice at large scale. Due to
miscommunication there is error which helps in creating problems
between the patient and the care provider within the healthcare system.
Quality improvement initiative
On the basis of NMBA standards of practice the most adequate standard regarding to the
concern would be standard 6 that demonstrates “provision of safe, suitable and responsive
quality nursing practices”. The issue of medical errors in clinical practice can be improved
with continuous quality improvement which works as upper leadership which can be
accessed to eliminate medical errors. It also enhances the overall productivity and leads to
increase in patient safety outcomes. Apart from this suittable general prescriptions will be
helpful in assessment of such kind of errors being occurred and following suitable aspects
on the basis of appropriate nursing practices in following ways will decrease various risk
consequences
Quality issues in clinical practice
The major quality issue which has been diagnosed is Medical error. The study of
hospitals in various countries found patients were injured by care as deaths and
received occurred in huge percent of those cases. Along with this, medical error
was blamed percent in injured and percent of deaths. The quality issue has been
arisen due to medical error which has been identified at large scale and this has
analysed the aspects of how the error has caused major problems and issues in
providing health and care in the clinical practice.
Due to major medical errors, the clinical practices have been impacted
and this has resulted in analysis of how effectively the care services and
health facilities are to be provided to the patients. Medical error is the
major quality issue which occurs is the failure of the planned action to be
completed or use of the wrong plan to achieve an aim significantly. This
is the major error which has been diagnosed and identified within the
clinical practice. It is very important to follow the registered nursing
standards for practice which provides comprehensive safe, quality
practice to achieve agreed goals and outcomes that are responsive to the
nursing needs of people.
Strength – There are some imporant strengths which are - internal resources such as skilled
staff, adoption of new technology and so on. Along with this intangible asset such as brand
loyalty, for their customer in medical consumption.
Weakness - Resources limitation and some unclear unique selling over proposition or lack
of some differentiated brands in organization, medical error are the major weaknesses which
the clinical practice is being affected.
Opportunities - Undeserved for market in specific services and have their competitors in
some area of healthcare services. Along with emerge need for their services line and press or
media coverage for work practice in organization.
Threat- Rising over competition and changing their regulatory environment. While
negative press or media coverage in health care services and changing patients’ attitude
towards their practices.
