employer. Thus, workplace health and safety are concerned with the management of risk

safety climate survey which is considered as the initiative to know about the staff member’s
perceptions regarding the safety wherein staff has claimed they are given more work within the
workplace which ultimately shows that the staff is highly disagree upon the culture of the
workplace. Also, the situation of the site also includes the higher turnover and accident rates and
higher sick leaves. For approaching the given condition of the site an initiative is needed that
could improve the condition of the site and promote the safety of workers.
For undertaking the initiative of improved health of the workers, a company takes several
steps to identify the potential risk that could harm the culture of the company and also physical
safety of the workers. Moreover, employees within the workplace need healthy working
conditions, safe work stations, safe handling of machines and encouraging work environment.
Thus, the company can take a po-active approach for the identification of hazards that can harm
the physical and mental health (Holt & Allen, 2015). The company seeks to identify the
psychosocial health risk that can be harmful for the employee’s social environment within the
workplace. Apart from the social harm, psychosocial risk can cause physiological injuries which
can in turn lead to the increased cost of the company.
Further, it can be noted that companies are focusing towards the development of safe
working environment by assuring that all the systems are safe from the prospective of health of
the patients. Apart from this, the companies are making due contributions towards the promotion
of encouraging working environment which can not only motivate the employees but also
leading to decreased turnover rates (Chapman & Thompson, 2016). Similarly, for approaching
the given situation, workplace safety measures can be undertaken through creating a culture of
wellness and also facilitation of necessary training for handling of equipment which can reduce
the workplace accidents and the sick leaves of the employees. Also, the improved culture
promotes the employability of workers, ensuring the safety at the work, procurement of required
training and analyzing the work demand are the major activities of the company to improve the
wellbeing of workers at the workplace. This can be beneficial to the company and workers as

Conclusively, it can be said that workplace health and safety is important for every
company as it promotes the increased health of the employees leading to improved job
satisfaction. Moreover, for the given condition of a workplace site, the company can approach to
the situation by formulating safety and security standards for the workers in order to reduce the
hazards and accidents and also promoting a heathy work culture motivating the employees.
