Part 1
The Andes plane crash has been one of the worst miserable memories of my life. This is
why I am writing this personal account to make my memories fresh of that incident. The
condition became so much critical that we could not think of taking a proper decision. It is
because there was a terrible and freezing cold. We found that many of our friends had died in
that region. We felt very much helpless and we had got nothing to eat in that situation.
There were only two options left before us. The first was to die a slow death by
surrendering to the freezing condition in the nature. The second one was that we had to eat the
flesh and meat of our dead co-passengers since there was no food available in the area we were
in. We had to become the cannibals in order to save our lives. The flight was carrying us to Chile
for a match as we were the rugby players. The Andes valley came to be known as the Valley of
Tears from that time onwards. This experience could be compared to hell in many ways (Read
2012). One of our co-passengers were Roberto Cannessa who came to be known as one of the
best pediatric cardiologists in the country. Many photographs had been printed in the several
Chilean newspapers that the half-eaten limbs of the human body had been lying here and there
across the valley of Andes.
We, all the people who survived the crash and our families still live in the Carrasco
suburb. The place is located in Uruguay near the capital of Montevideo. We had left with very
few options to survive and we only took the only way i.e. to eat up the limbs of our dead friends.
We knew Holy Jesus Christ might never forgive us but it was better to live in that way than to
surrender to death. The only things we had there were the square of a chocolate, a dab of
toothpaste, a teaspoon of jam, a deodorant that was capful of wine.

Cannessa and Parrado went to finds some help that could be beneficial for us to survive.
We had to live for about two months in the mountainside shelter made of the mangled fuselage.
We had to eat the minimum amount of the flesh, fat, fingers and muscles of our friends so that
we could survive. This indeed was a very miserable thing for us. Personally I have learnt to be
very strong and survive in all kinds of conditions.
Part 2
In the second part, I will discuss about three events that are very important in the history
of America. The first event that has been chosen for this section is that of the American
Evolution. The American Revolution was a protest movement in the country that went on for
around 7 years between 1775 and 1785 (Bailyn 2017). This is a movement without which the
current United States would not have existed. Many experts have raised the question of how the
current United States would have looked if the United States of America had been under the
British rule for a longer period of time. This revolution played a huge role in establishing the
democracy in the world.
The second event that has been chosen for this section is that of the American Civil War.
I have chosen this item since it had given a totally new shape to the country in various manners.
This was one of the bloodiest wars that were fought in America (Hummel 2013). The fact of
slavery had conquered the entire country in the previous years. The difference of opinions
between the South and North America was very much clear. The clashes were very common
between the parts. This had changed the entire landscape of the country in many ways. However,
end result of this civil war was the abolishing of slavery (Nelson 2012). All the black skinned

Americans had the rights to cast their votes, be the owners of the offices and own properties. All
kinds of slavery had been abolished from the country as per the wish of Abraham Lincoln.
The third most striking event as per my opinion is the attacks of 9/11. The assassins led
by the influence of Osama Bin Laden had crashed with the aero planes into the World Trade
Center (Pezdek 2013). Thousands of American people had been killed in this miserable terrorist
attack. The country was shaken badly and the repercussions were very heavy on the terrorist
groups. Osama Bin Laden had been arrested by the United States Army within a few years and
he had been killed as well. The entire United States administration got active in this regard and
they were on a mission to eradicate the terrorism from the world. The entire world became very
furious on the terrorist attacks and the steps taken by USA had been appreciated by them.
