Introduction
The report aims in discussing the advantages and the disadvantages of android and Apple
iOs to bring on a comparison between the both. The report aims in analyzing, which iOs has the
capability of becoming most popular among the mobile user.
Android OS
The advantages and the disadvantages of the android Operating system is indicated in the
following sections.
Android OS Advantages
(1) Advantage #1
Android OS is more customizable in comparison to the Apple iOs. Any new publication
in the android platform can be done quite easily without any major review process. This is
possible as android offers an open platform (Zhou Neamtiu & Gupta, 2015). The customization
offered by android is far better than that of iOS and therefore, android can easily beat iOS in
customization. One of the examples of customization in android include choosing the default
browser. In Apple iOS, the default browser has to be safari, while in android, a user can choose
the default browser as per his/her wish.
(2) Advantage #2
Android OS is far more cost effective that Apple iOS. This is one of the significant
reasons why, android devices costs, way less than the apple devices. Android phone are nearly
three time cheaper than iPhone, which is one advantage of android OS.

Android OS offer native integration with Google cloud storage that offers 15GB free
storage space. This is a significant advantage that is offered by the android application platform.

One of the major concerns and disadvantages android OS is its low security (Al-Qershi et
al., 2014). Fake and malicious applications can be installed in the device from unknown sources,
which Apple iOs des not allow.

Display of advertisements within an application is another disadvantage of android OS.

It is a complex OS and most of the application tend to run on the background draining the
battery faster.

Apple iOS Advantages
(1) Advantage #1
Apple iOS is more intuitive in comparison to android OS and offers an excellent UI and
fluid responsiveness.

Performance of Apple iOS is far better than that of Android. Thus, iOS can be easily used
for business as well as for gaming purposes (Dehling, T., Gao Schneider & Sunyaev, 2015).

Apple iOS offer top notch security and the operating system is light as well (Mohamed &
Patel, 2015). It allows the developers to design applications as there are very less number of
models having android iOS.
Apple iOS Disadvantages
1) Disadvantage #1
The review process of development and publishing of an application is quite critical.

Apple iOs is far less flexible in comparison to android as the operating system only
supports iOS devices
3) Disadvantage #3
Apple iOS is far more costly than android and therefore cannot be afforded by all.
Furthermore, the repair cost of iOS is quite high.

Based on the above discussion, it can be concluded that android OS will become most
popular among the mobile users. This is because of its low cost and affordability. Although,
