Weaknesses Recommendations Justification
Limited area of operation. The company is not performing in
whole of England and only having the
stores at South east England which is
regarded to as weakness of company.
For this they must be increasing their
area of operation (Baidoun and
Awashra, 2018).
If the company want them to should be
overcoming their weaknesses which
are there then they should be first
identifying the weakness and then try
ot solves the problem which is
pertaining. The solution which is given
is good as this will then be helping
company in increasing their area of
operations they could go throughout
England and this will be helping them
to gain more and more profits.
Less number of employees Ango company is only having 10
employees who are working within the
company which are not sufficient if
company want to improve operations
and increase area as well. So they must
be focusing on giving employment
more good and qualified employees.
This is main resource for company
which would be helping in rising
profits and increasing sale of company.
The recruitment and training procedure
of company should be very good they
must also be employing Human
Resource Manager who will be held
responsible for the training and
development process of company
(Kuratko and Morris, 2018). This will

in turn be helping company in
increasing the number of employees
within organisation and also in
retaining them which will be
decreasing employee turnover.
Bad quality of service. All the other competitors who are there
in market are giving good quality of
service to their customers. Service is
the main element of business which
every customer desire to have from its
marketer. Quality of service which
Ango is providing is not very good
which must be improved on the hand
of company. This could be done by
increasing the number of employees
within company. If workers are more
within the firm then they could be
improving the service quality which is
been provided by firm. The use of
technology must be increased which
will be improving quality of service in
best of its way.
This is also a hindrance in sales and
profits of company. Service will be the
important element of any business
which will b improving efficiency of
company and increasing base of
customers. The increased use of
technology which will be helping in
services quality improvement is the
best recommendation which company
must be using within its operations.
2.2 Analysing the ways in which existing performance could be strengthened.
Ango purpose made furniture Ltd is doing its business since 2015 and it is also earning
very good profits and sales revenue from the products (Lumpkin, Bacq and Pidduck, 2018). They
must be collecting more and more market information which will be helping them in growing
base of customer. Taking feedbacks and suggestions from customer will b regarded to as very
good in strengthening their performance which they can use in decision making of company.
Price is the important element which company is having with them so they must have their focus

on that price and value of products. In small business type the decision of price and products will
be taken by the owner of company only so deciding about price and then its quality is also the
power and part of owner only. For this purpose they must be following participative or
democratic type of leadership style so that all employees of the organisation are motivated and
also ensuring the productivity of employee (Ayandibu and Houghton, 2017).
Quality of product is also one of the point of reference for company so they must be
making all employees aware for the importance of quality. This will in tern enabling them all to
grow and expand in area. If company is finding any defect within the quality of service and that
of product then they must try ot solve problem at the time of defect only. All the employees must
be having knowledge about their role and responsibility in regard to job profile so that they are
motived. They will be having the sense of responsibility within themselves and which will be
promoting performance appraisal in company (Vahlne and Jonsson, 2017). Products which they
are manufacturing should be of the best quality so that this will be attracting number of
customers towards company.
2.3 Suggesting new areas into which business could expand.
Ango purpose made furniture Ltd must till this time try to expand the area of their
market and operations so that they are able to obtain more profits for firm (Reascos and
Carvalho, 2018). For increasing area or expanding the business in more area Ango purpose
made furniture Ltd could use Ansoff matrix which will be helping them in expanding operations
in 4 different way which could be:
Market penetration- by this enterprise could maximise the amount and number of sales which
they are doing within same market (Ansoff matrix, 2018). This could be done using existing
product and that too in same market. Which will include improving the way company is
operating in market they could use more ways of digital marketing for attracting its customer.
They can also introduce some schemes which are related to products and service like that of
discounts to its customers or enterprise can also decrease its price of products so that more new
customers get the attention of company.
Market development- with the use of this strategy company can introduce their existing products
but in new market that is in nearby cities like that of Gloucestershire and Bristol. This will be
helping company in exploring new cities and markets for their growth and development (Ansoff

matrix, 2018). As they are also having many sources of funds available for exploring new
markets within country like that of bank loan or from rising funds from shareholders.
Product Development- by this enterprise should be introducing new product within the same
existing market. Major advantages of this could be as they are having the same customers with
them so for new product they will not be requiring ot do market research (Lin and Wang, 2018).
Product development must be done to improve quality of sales and profits maximisation by just
modifying the portfolio of products.
Diversification- this strategy is whole new type of product into new market which is done when
company is performing very well within market (Ansoff matrix, 2018). But at this time Ango
purpose made furniture Ltd is not doing good so this option will not be of any use for company.

to be a benchmark for employees in attaining the goals and objectives of company which is set
by owners of business.
Process: these are the ways which will be helping employees and management to obtain goals
and objectives of enterprise. As there are no defined rules and regulations for accessories and
parts of motor vehicles manufacturing company Ango purpose made furniture Ltd which will be
followed by employees and management so there could be a state of confusion and
misunderstandings within them all (Huttinger and Dreibelbis, 2017). This confusion could be
solved if they are using correct process and methods in obtaining the goal and objectives.
Performance indicators: firm must be controlling performance of their employees who are
employed in Ango purpose made furniture Ltd which could be done with the help of observation
of performance of employees. This can also be included as plus point of company and its
employees which is telling the correct position of each employee and thus that of firm (Baidoun
and Awashra, 2018). Performance indicator will be giving market analysis of company and

Illustration 2: McKinsey 7S Model
[Source: McKinsey 7S Model. 2018]
For all business enterprise whether big or small it is required to review what they have set
are they going in same directions or not and if there are any faults then to take corrective actions
which are in favour of company. So if there are any negative points within business plan of
company then they must be doing something ot neglect them (Lumpkin, Bacq and Pidduck,
2018). This is done by talking and getting review of customers which can help company in
making the action plan or business plan more and more effective. By comparing the price of
company with that of others in industry or market can also help in reviewing the business plan.
But above all the best way to overcome the difference of the set plan will use and
implementation of McKinsey 7S model which will be telling about strategies and systems of
company (McKinsey 7S Model. 2018). The areas which are mentioned in McKinsey 7S model
will also be the areas where changes are required.
Strategies- all the plans which are related to marketing and operational work should be focused
so that objectives of attracting customer and maximisation of profits are obtained. They can also

train or hire one employee who will be making record of all the activities which are taking place
on day to day bases.
Systems- this is the plan which is ensuring that company and its functions are taking smoothly
and in perfect manner top attain goal (Hutchinson, 2018). System also performance indicators
and appraisal of that performance of employees which will thus be helping in improvement of
their productivity.
Structure- this is the way in which information flow from higher ot lower level and should be
very simple and easy (McKinsey 7S Model. 2018). As Ango purpose made furniture Ltd is very
small business enterprise so structure of firm is very easy to understand by employees and by
others.
Skills- all the employees who are working in company are having their own skills and
knowledge about their area of work. Thus, it is very important to enhance the skills by giving
them task and delegating authorities to staff members so that work which they are doing is very
good.
Staff- this include human resources of company who are enabling company in doing business in
the best way so business plan must also be including the way in which staff could be handled.
Shared Value- will be including team work and leadership style of company and respecting all
cultures which is prevailing within company.
Style- as company is very small with only 10 employees working within so the owner must be
using and applying participative or democratic style of leadership which will be helping
company in gaining involvement of all staff members (McKinsey 7S Model. 2018).
3.3 Preparing of action plan to implement the changes.
All the changes which are mentioned in the above part will thus be enabling company in
fulfilling all the desires and objectives of company like that to increase the customers (Huxtable-
Thomas and Hannon, 2018). If strategies and structure of company is been changed then that will
be useful in improving performance of firm. Therefore, misunderstandings or failures will be
taken out if firm is using democratic or participative type of management or leadership style. If
company is also using its staff as efficient human resource then they could be easily make them
use which will be very fruitful for company (Action plan to implement changes, 2018). The main
12

area which need top be changed is system according to which company is functioning which is
outdated and they must be implementing that change within organisation. The action plan will be
including the following parts
Illustration 3: Action plan to implement changes
[Source: Action plan to implement changes, 2018]
Determining Goal- this is the main step under which company will be deciding upon what is to
be achieved and what will be goal and objectives of firm.
Assessment of rules and roles- then after this, rules and regulation of firm which will be helping
in achieving that set goal. Roles of staff members must also be set so that there is no confusion
among them (Daniel, Di Domenico and Nunan, 2018).
Developing of action plan- then afterwards action plan will be developed for implementation of
all changes which are to be done and said in above section.
Implementation of plan- then that developed plan will be implemented so that targets and
changes are achieved in most effective and efficient manner (Action plan to implement changes,

Measure and evaluation- this is the last step of measuring and evaluating what company has sat

and corrective actions.
TASK 4

All the changes which are to be taken place is done in order to improve the efficiency of

profits of firm. But there could be also be some positive and negative impact of these changes
which are as follows:
Negative impact- the most ill effect of these changes which is implemented in business could be
the resistance of staff (Ayandibu and Houghton, 2017). Humans are not very open to adopt
changes which are to be taken place around them so they generally resist or hesitate in follow
those changes. This will thus be creating situation of conflict between management and staff
members of Ango purpose made furniture Ltd.
Positive impact- but meanwhile there are also positive effect of that changes which are taking
place and positive effects are generally more than that of negative ones. Revenue of company
will be increased if they are using some better ways of controlling staff thus will be improving
their performance. This will also be rising sense of accountability within each and every
employees as management will be defining their roles and responsibilities as well.

The changes which are set by management in order to make more and more profits from
staff and available resources. For each and everything management must be making some plan
according to which they then need to perform. Planning is very much important and this will be
telling management what is to be done, how it is to be done, who will be involved within and
how changes will be tracked (Kurt Lewin change theory, 2018). For this purpose management

14
Document Page
Illustration 4: Kurt Lewin change theory
[Source: Kurt Lewin change theory, 2018 ]
Unfreeze- this will be including that whether organisation and employees of organisation are
ready to accept the changes which is been taking place within (Turban, Liang and Turban,
2018). This also include that how people within organisation could be made involved in change
making step of business. Will also be including how to convince all the one who are not involved
in this unfreezing task of organisation.
Change- this is then implementation step of that said change which will be included (Kurt
Lewin change theory, 2018). If all the members of team are accepting the change which will be
taking then it become easy for company to implement that.
Refreeze- if the change is been accepted by all and implement as well as it is the duty of owner
