Topic- Should animal testing be banned
For the medical researchers and animal rights activists one of the most Controversial scientific
topic is that “Should animal testing be banned”. Animal testing is the non human experiments it
is unethical treatments. Scientists use animal experiments to test new treatments for human and
animal diseases (Löwa and et.al., 2018). On one side it is claimed by scientists that animal
testing has been one of the step for welfare of mankind and there is nothing unethical. However,
the agencies concerned for the animals tends to claim that humans does not have rights to
endanger the life of other species and alternative research approaches must be researched instead
of harming animals.
Animal testing was first introduced as an experimental method of testing surgical
procedures before applying them to human in 12 century. There are different types of reason and
purpose for using animal in research as it helps to advance scientific understanding, to models to
study disease. Help to identify treatments methods of particular disease, to protect safety of
people, animals and environment. Thus, doctor and scientist use this method to identify impact
but testing animal cannot be considered ethical or justified. This affects animal life but on the
other side, animal testing may give safety benefits for new products and medicines, but some
items' and practices is not relevant that are tested will never be used. That means animals will be
liable for losing their lives to regulate the safety of a product. Further, the human body and
animal body are different so the practice and experiments is not valid, for instance, most 100
vaccines for HIV demonstration potential in primates, but failed in humans (Vinardell and
Mitjans, 2017). That means the research which will be failed on human body so, animal research
is not suitable for the treatments. Thus, according to above analysis it can be demonstrate that
animal testing should be banned.
On the other side, there are different advantages of testing the animal. If it should be
banned, so it harms the human body because people with breast cancer, diabetes and those who
depends on medicine, would be dead due to infection of medicines on the body. In the end, those
who are fight with cancer should also support the animal testing, as the question is without
experiment on animal how the medicines are tested and proved.
Animal testing harm the animal lives and save the billions of people lives. Current
situation is described that various industry uses this method on their research and make the new
product which is suitable for the customer. Mainly, cosmetics industry are used this method and

tested their products on the animal to find out the result to ensure that they will not cause
irritation and sensitivity reactions in humans. Thus, cosmetic industry needs this test Because
their product mostly used on body covering surfaces, operation--such as patch-testing--are
normally through on animals to give data on whether the component harm skin or and to what is
the degree it affects the people skin.
However, the large number of people believes that animal testing is helpful because it
saves the billions of human life. Thus, the animals are sacrificed to make products safer for
human use and consumption. On the other side, many people think that it is not essential because
it wasting of science time due to invalid result which affects the animal and human life both.
Most of consumer and people agree that the animal testing is helpful for human body (Clemence
and Leaman, 2016). Scientist and doctor testing on the animal to make sure that a product is not
harm the human body. Government also make some laws regarding the animal protection but for
the human life they support this types of experiment.
It can be summarized that Animals also have rights. As a human we have liberty, which
is freedom, choice etc. And also animals has the right to live, and the right to choose. However
animal testing can be helpful to explore various significant medical findings which can save the
life of million of people. Thus, it is recommended that practices animal testing must be allowed
only if they do not cause any harm to animals. Instead, more encouragement must be given to
research based upon cells and organs of deal animals or humans.
