A computer network plan has been discussed in the report which will help the organization
to meet the operational needs of the Animit Studio. To improve the data transfer between the
computers an Efficient IP plan has been discussed in the report. All the required network related
services that are important for company has been analysed to make the operations of company
more productive.

INTRODUCTION
Network design is a category of the system design that handles the data transport process.
The computer network is group of computers and other peripheral devices that are sharing same
network. The computer network is used by the different business organization to improve their
performance in the international market. Computer network helps the organization to complete
the group tasks with high level of team cooperation (Ceselli, Premoli and Secci, 2017). The
Animit Studio is a specialist service provider that work with computers graphics and video
editors to meet the demands and needs of clients. Animit Studio is working on two location
which are Brisbane and Sydney. This report will be explaining the network plan for the
organization that can be used by Animit Studio to make interorganizational computer network to
improve its working. The IP plan for the organizational devices will be provided in the report.
The essential network services that are need to be implemented in organization will be discussed
in the study.
Network Topology Design
For Animit Studio it is required to design a LAN Network that can help them to improve
connectivity between their system. There are two types of computer network are required in the
Animit Studio which are Local Area Network and Wide area network. for the internal network of
company LAN is required and for long distance networking WAN is required. There are
different type of topology are used in the LAN connection (Alshamsi and Diabat, 2015).
Selection of particular Topology is depended on the need of organization and size of network. In
the Animit studio best possible and suitable topology is bus. In this type of connection each
device on the network is connected to a central cable that is known as backbone or bus of
network. there are various modes in this topology. Node are considered as the points where the
devices are connected to the central bus. Whole data transfer is processes between the nodes. In
the data and information transfer process signal travel to the both end of network until it finds the
particular target receiver. if the target address remains undetected then the signal is ignored by
the network.
As per the requirement of the organization they need two different network designs for
two different locations. For the office of Brisbane they have employees around 30 which are
divided in two departments which are production and other one is administration department.
According to the requirements company they need network of 30 computer for Brisbane office

where each employee have one desktop. The computer network which is designed for the
employees is interconnected with each other and they are provided with the access to the
different company server which are used to provide data base, internet connection, consumer
handling and access to the common files. For the managers of each department a private
computer network is need to be provided. Because their role and responsibilities are different
form the normal employees. Managers are also provided with a personal printer and other
employees are provided with a common printer that is connected to router. This is how
employees can use the common printer to perform their business operations. There are different
devices can be used in the computer network of Animit Studio which are-
Firewall
Firewall is the initial line of defense for the computer network. The firewall is placed
between the public network and company network junction point. This is most important for
organization to defend its network from the threat of the public network. To conduct business
with higher success rate they need to prevent any kind of external intrusion in the company
network (March and Steadman, 2019). This is the system which is used by the organization to
monitor and control the network traffic which is based on the different internet protocols.it is
considered as a barrier between the company network and public network to prevent any
unauthorized access to the company network. This is commonly used to make the network of
company more secure and trustworthy.
Modem
This is the device which is directly connected to the service cable that is provided by the
internet service provider. The main function of this device is to receive the analogue signals from
the external server and convert it into the digital signals which can be read by the computers and
other devices that are configured in the computer network of organization. This device is
connected to the firewall. To convert the signals to the compliable signals. This is one of the
most important devices for the organizational network.
Switch
These is the device that is used to connect multiple to a single device or network. the one
port of the switching hub is connected to the modem and firewall of the network. On the other
end different devices are connected to the hub to provide them access to the organizational
network. The network that is suggested for the Animit Studio there are three devices are

connected to the switching hub are- 2 routers and one wireless access point. This is how
switching hub allow the multiple devices to connect with the company servers and data base.
Servers
In an organization various types of server are used which are comes with different
features. As per the requirement of the Animit Studio there is requirement of 4 Different servers
that can help the organization and its employees to gain access to the company data, internet and
these servers are also used to provide control over the consumer access and their online purchase.
Servers of organization known as general data base that works with various internet protocols to
provide access of data to the authorized person.
Routers
Modern routers are capable of working as both modem and router. It is a network device
that is used to deliver the data packets to the end point user. it also can be used as device which
can control the data transfer in the computer network (Parraguez, Eppinger and Maier, 2016). it
helps to manage the data transferred between the particular addresses. It is how router help the
computer to the send the data and files to the specific addresses.
Wireless access Point
Wireless access point is device that is connected to the internet connection. The function
of WAP (Wireless Access point) is to allow the different devices to connect to the company
network that have capability of wireless connectivity. There are different devices like laptops,
printers and other devices are connected to the computer network to improve the functionality of
whole network. as there are 8 laptops are there for the hires, through these WAP device these
laptops can be provided with access to the company network.
There is how all these devices can be used in the organization network to improve its
functionality and applicability. There are different advantages of Bus topology which are base of
implementation of this topology in company. Some of the advantages are.
1. The bus topology is the most cost efficient in implementation and operation. It requires
only one cable that is used to provide network connection to particular device.
2. The installation process of bus technology is easier and faster.
3. For the small number of people, it is best efficient technology.

As per the above diagram the there are two buses are used for two different departments.
One bus is provided to the production department and other bus is provided to the administrative
department. A third bus is connected to the WAP which is used to provide wireless connection to
the laptops and other wireless devices (Albers, Wohlgezogen and Zajac, 2016). For the managers
of each department a private connection line is provided to perform their actions.

This is the network diagram for the Sydney office where whole network is connected
from the cloud network to access the company data. In the Sydney office there are 8 Employees.
The 7 computer systems are connected in the bus topology and one private connection is
provided to the manager of the office.

Essential Network Services
Apart from the networking there are different services are essential for the organization
network which are required to ensure the security and efficiency of system. Most of the services
that are provided by the internet service provider are related to the security and safety of
organization data. The main services that are provided by internet service provider are-
monitoring firewall and Antivirus for network. these are the most common facilities that are
provided by the ISP to the client company (Pathan, 2016). As the ISL provide the internet
connection to the company they also offer security facilities that can help the organization to
ensure the safety and security of the network.
Firewall- Internet provide the firewall to the company in which they provide services which are
meant to secure the company network from the external threats. These facility helps the
organization to keep the private net work secure from malware and hacking. there are three level
of actions in the computer and firewall is the first level of defense for the computer system. The
threats are detected before they entre the organization network. This is how internet service
provider offer firewall to the company network to prevent the threats like Malware, Ransomware
and other worms. This services also can be used to monitor the actions of employees of
organization.
Antivirus- It is considered as the third level of defense where the threats that are currently
operating the computer system are examined and found to perform the removal operation (Azar,
Bast and Herman, 2018). By this method company can remove malicious software from the
network and server.
It is how the various services that are essential for the organizational network help them
to improve the performance and security in operations. By this facilities company can conduct
business without ant data and security breach.
CONCLUSION
This report is concluding the importance of the computer networking for the Animit Studio.
as per the requirement of the organization network design has been prepared for the two
locations for company. The networking topology that can be used for organization has been
analyzed and evaluated on the basis of operations of Animit Studio. As per the network design

provided for Brisbane and Sydney office a proper Ip plan has been prepared. The advantages of
Bus topology has been explained in the report to convince the people of organization to
implement Suggested network Diagram in organization.
