Annotated Bibliography
AI Summary
This annotated bibliography presents summaries of two research studies relevant to healthcare leadership and nursing education. The first study by Reid et al. (2017) investigates the impact of integrating Evidence Based Practice (EBP) into the undergraduate nursing curriculum, utilizing a pre-test and post-test design to assess changes in students' beliefs, attitudes, and implementation of EBP. The study highlights the positive effects of educational support on EBP understanding and its importance for patient care. The second study, by Dauvrin and Lorant (2015), employs a social network analysis to examine the influence of leaders on healthcare professionals' cultural competence. The research, conducted in Belgium, reveals a significant link between leaders' cultural competence and that of their staff, particularly in mediation and paradigm domains. The study emphasizes the importance of both leadership and social relationships in enhancing cultural competence within healthcare settings.
