Duan, Liu and Che (2018) in the article entitled “Mediating influences of ethical
leadership on employee creativity” attempts a discussion on the impact of the ethical leadership
on the employee creativity as is demonstrated within the Chinese business organizations. The
article discusses the various issues that are presented by the psychological environment in
relation to the willingness of the employees of the organization to undertake the risks that are
presented within the organizational operations.
The article was composed on the basis of the results retrieved from the surveys that were
conducted among the employees and their supervisors. The participants of the survey were
employed across 8 businesses that had been operating across 5 different sectors. The article
opened with a hypothesis on the fact that the creative behaviors as observed among the
employees are affected in a positive manner by the proper leadership as had been demonstrated
by the organizational leaders. The article further suggests that the employee leadership plays
huge role in the development of the creativity as is being demonstrated by the employees serving

the organization which in turn is responsible for the development of overall development of the

The article has been composed on the basis of the responses from 380 different pairs of
employees and their supervisors. The participants of the study were reported to have been
employed in 8 different business organizations across China that are spread all over 5 sectors
within the economy of the country. The data for the survey was collected over a long period of
over eight months and were used to determine the relationship between the leadership
demonstrated by the organizational management and the innovative nature of thoughts that were
put forth by the employees of the organization. The article further helps in the development of
the notion that the employee engagement within the company is dependent on the motivation that
is offered to the employees by the concerned management of the organization. The article in
