Organizational Issues - Annotated Bibliography
Introduction
Communication is a growing concern in all of the organization. As technology develops over
time, it is increasingly becoming difficult to clear the communication channel in the
organizations due to several reasons.
In this annotated bibliography, we will focus on analysing various proofs of how this has
posed to be a problem over time.
Article 1
This article identifies the importance of communication from an independent perspective.
The authors have very effectively pointed out how communication is an essential requirement
to sustain the flow of information and general operations in the company. Further, the
analysis of the paper has focused on how the process of communication has improved over
time and all the relevant strategies for the same.
What is the most relevant thing in this paper is how the authors have mentioned the
breakdown of the communication machinery of the organization with examples of several
companies, and how it is rectified to control the damage on urgent basis. However, the
explanation of this part could have been a little more detailed. Even though the authors have
focussed on the right approach to explaining to the readers about the importance of
communications, the better approach could have been to sync it with the theory and then
critique the approaches.
Article 2
The paper has taken its base from a 2002 survey of around 1200 employees of a various
organization to understand their approach towards communication and how their company
promotes it as well. This sets a good base for discussion on the paper since the results which
have been analysed have set a base for the paper. The paper then swiftly converges into
understanding how communication should be integrated as a practice in the organization.

Furthermore, the discussion then traverses how few organizations have implemented this, and
the benefits they are getting. Also, the paper has identified the ideal workplace
communication methodology and how employers can communicate effectively with the
employees to increase productivity as well. The only loophole in the research was that it
could have been a little more descriptive and method-oriented instead o just building around
the base of the survey.
Article 3
In this article, the author has focussed on informing the readers about the importance of
organizational communication in detail. The work has been structured extremely well and in
a cohesive. For example, the paper first introduces the different types of communication in
detail and then integrates it with how communication takes place in the organization itself.
This approach is quite comprehensive as it helps the reader to understand the discussion well.
furthermore, in the later parts of the paper, the focus then shifts towards understanding the
importance of communication with respect to organizations in Uttarakhand and how the
situation was rectified as well. It also gives alternatives to the solutions and discusses them in
detail. However, the anomaly in this paper was a large amount of data which was represented.
The data was represented in a nice manner, however, at some point, the data was redundant
and not of use. Because of this, the paper became a little too hard to digest and lost its
universal appeal with which it started.
Article 4
This paper focuses on organizational change and how a successful organisational change can
be implemented through effective communication. This paper has been well formed and is
not at all redundant at any point. The literature used is also relevant and so is the language
which has been used. The paper has successfully chalked out the importance of both,
organizational change and communication. Further, the paper has then integrated both these
concepts based on need and how communication can help in the implementation of change. It
