This article focuses on informing and educating organizations executives on the new
three-dimensional technology. This will enable them to make significant decisions about the
technology. It indicates the field in which the technology has been embraced. It also indicates the
challenges faced by the technology and also the future benefits from the technology. The authors
main point was to persuade the executive to adapt the three-dimensional printing technology to
enhance the organizations success. The study of the article was in Indian university in Kelley
School of business. The article is written by Jan Kietzmann who is an associate professor of
innovation and entrepreneurship, Pierre Berthon who is a professor in marketing, information
design and corporate communication. Their articles are published in a number of peer-reviewed
journals and their work are considered credible. The article found that the three-dimensional
printing technology is cost effective, it has also shown that it reduces pollution which is a major
challenge faced in the world today, and the features produced through this technology are
attractive to customers. However, it has led to production of fake manuals that are available
easily for example manuals on how to make drugs. This posses a risk to humans. This article will
be an excellent source for my report since it elaborates the field in which the technology is used
and explain why organizations should adapt it. This will help to persuade the CEO to embrace
the technology to enhance the success of the organization.

This article focuses at elaborating how the market structure is affected by the introduction
of the three-dimensional printing technology. It compares the already established market

this makes their work credible. The authors found that the introduction of the three-dimensional
printing in a monopoly structure of market helps to produce customized products hence
capturing more consumers. This lead to increase in profits. In the competitive structure of
market, it helps to lower the product prices for the customers through reducing the barriers of
entry to the market which enables an organization to serve a wide market. This research was
conducted by analyzing the established economic models which helped in developing four
principles important at firm leveland assessed the impact of the technology at industry level. This
article will be relevant in the report writing because it indicated the best market structure an
organization can adapt to increase their profits. This will help the CEO in making the right
decision.
Recommendation
The articles are peer reviewed journals and they extensively explain the three-dimensional
printing technology, the types of applications that use the technology and the developments that
have been contributed by this technology. Therefore, I highly recommend the two articles to be
used in the research of the report topic of this term.
