The article is centred around the impact of the China-US trade war on the economies
of both China and US. The argument provided by the author in this context is whether the
effect is positive (Lau, 2019). It is claimed that the effect is negative and has hampered the
US economy more than that of Chinese economy. The GDP of China has reported to be less
than US but due to this major hit China would be able to surpass US by 2030 in terms of
GDP.

The article introduces the root causes that are basically responsible for the US-China
trade war. In this article the author has provided argument regarding the three different
dimensions of the emergence of the war the ways by which US is badly hit (Liu & Woo,
2018). The dimensions mentioned were China’s trade surplus, access to US technology and it
threat to US. It is concluded that US should focus on improving trade relationship with China
in order to strengthen its own position in the economy.

The article intends to argue on the ways by which China could improve itself from the
negative effects of the US-China trade war. The main points of discussion in this article are
about the strategic development of China, specifically highlighting the strengths and
weaknesses of Chinese economy (Lukin, 2019). Finally, the article concludes with a strong
statement of argument that Chinese economy would be able to recover from the negative hit
of the war and the future days would lead to a potential success of the country’s economy.

The article is based on a term coined by Donald trump named as “Trumponomics”.
The article intends to argue the effects of introducing additional tariffs on a fragmented
economy. (Evans, 2019). The article concludes by validating a strong statement that US
economy would be affected negatively as a result of additional tariff due to rise in the prices
of products as well as that of exports.
