Mr Charles Matthew

Mr Peter Smith
The Principal of School
Sydney, Australia.
Dear Mr Peter smith,
I am the father of John Smith, studying in your school in seventh grade. I am very well aware of
the fact that the school is highly concerned for the students and implements new innovative
strategies for the betterment of the school. However, as a concerned parent, I would like to
highlight that bullying in schools has been increased day by day. It is because the parents and
teachers do not focus much on students. Bullying in schools has become a serious concern for
the parents since students spend major day hours in school. This school has a good reputation in
the country and therefore, I would suggest implementing an anti-bullying policy for preventing
bullying issues in school. This policy would exhibit positive outcomes for the betterment of
school as well as students. It would protect students from physical and mental health illness. This
policy would help in maintaining a positive environment within the school since bullying
involves aggressive and rude behaviour. Negative behaviour is not a favourable component for
the health and well-being of an individual. Schools should implement an anti-bullying policy
since an individual’s mental and physical growth for real-life situations begins with education
and behaviour provided to students in school. In current times, such negative incidents including
bullying, harassment or others destroys the mental growth of children. Also, the schools
identified as the place of such incidents damage its public image to the fullest. Moreover,
bullying and harassment and other incidents have raised the concerns of parents and parents to
avoid such schools where these incidents occur. The consequences of bullying in schools are
drastic which should be prevented by the schools itself. Therefore, for the better future of school
and students, I would like to recommend an anti-bullying policy for the school that would make
the students understand about different aspects. This policy would include what bullying is, the
roles and responsibilities of school students, teachers and other personnel; procedure for
reporting bullying incidents and what would be the punishment. I request you as a concerned
parent to implement a strict anti-bullying policy in school.
Thank you
Sincerely
