Introduction
Noteworthy, the Australian tennis tournaments and games are regulated by the Anti-
doping policy. The anti-doping policy is being implemented by the Australian sports anti-doping
Authority (ASADA).ASADA activities are guided by the world anti-doping regulations.
Primarily, ASADA seeks to ensure players comply with World Anti-doping code, ASADA Act
and regulations among other legislative requirements towards achieving an anti-doping sports
environment. In addition, the organization advocates for integrity through its strict stand on
doping. The tennis athlete rights to take part in tennis games without any doping misconduct,
helps promoting equality, better health and fairness to all players despite their distinct
circumstances(ASADA, N. d).Lastly, the Tennis Australia organization seeks to achieve an
effective, well-coordinated and harmonized programs for anti-doping, nationally and
internationally.
In addition, the Australian Sports Anti-doping Authority seeks to achieve a free anti-doping
tennis team through its implementation of educational programs on the negative effects of
doping to a players physical health and career. In addition, the organization has rolled out
sensitization programs on the rights and duties (anti-doping).Moreover, in achieving its desired
outcome, the organization has made aware the consequences for doping athletes as a deterrence
measure. The organization has made public the sanctions and other disciplinary measures to
deter doping by athletes (ASADA, N. d).Moreover, the organisation has rolled out engagement
activities which are aimed at equipping athletes with the capabilities to overcome doping
challenges. Through regular testing of the testing athletes, counselling, communication services,
the risk of doping is being reduced by the organization (Health direct, n. d).Engagement,

deterrence and detection have also been implemented by the ASADA in achieving an anti-
doping tennis environment.
Through information gathering, testing (targeted) and investigation, the organization is
able to detect possible violations and deal with them in time thereby fulfilling its objective.
Enforcement of anti-doping rules through dealing with anti-doping infringements and taking part
in anti-doping trials and appeals has helped it deter and convict doping athletes which goes to
promote a healthy, equal and fair tennis playground. In performing its functions, the ASADA
organization is in support of whistleblower initiatives and programs which are likely to uncover
anti-doping infringements thereby prompting the respective response. Moreover, ASADA is
ramping its investigative capabilities in the fight against doping activities among tennis athletes
(ASADA, 2017).As an implementer of the international anti-doping regulations and initiatives in
Australia, ASADA has reaffirmed its commitment to fighting doping within its jurisdiction.
Conclusively, the Australian Sports anti-doping Authority is responsible for ensuring that the
Australian athletes adhere to the international anti-doping regulations. The ASADA has
implemented various activities such as education, engagement, deterrence, detection and
enforcement activities so as to achieve its desired outcomes .In addition ,the ASADA has taken
part in awareness programs on the health and career dangers of doping among athletes to help
deter the use of drugs in the Tennis sports.Actively taking part in detection and judicial process
to punish the violating athletes as a lesson for others has greatly helped the organisation in
achieving its objectives.
