Antimicrobial resistance on Health protection: An antimicrobial medicines are
become one of the critical part of human healthcare and veterinary medicine for both treating
and preventing infections.. This is recognized as a serious global threat to global health, food
security as well as development of public. This actually occur naturally , but misuse of
antibiotics in human is accelerating the process and as a result, it also grow number of infections
too. So it is analyzed that when infections are not longer be treated by antibiotics then the rate of
medicines are also high. This will further increase the risk of health issues and as a result, there
is an increase rate of death as well (Hofer, 2019). Moreover, it is consider one of the biggest
issue to global public health because it may lead to affect person while transplanting organ,
providing chemotherapy to cancer patients. Thus, there is a high number of issue and resistance
related to microbes which in turn affect the overall health. To overcome this, WHO response by
implementing planning such that World Antibiotic week, develop inter agency coordination
group on antimicrobial resistance in order to fight against threat to health security as well.
Antimicrobial resistance on Individual change: Antimicrobial resistance also affect
the individual change in worst manner such that it takes long duration for treatment and this also
leads to higher the medical cost, prolonged hospital stays and then increases mortality too. As a
result, an individual behavior suddenly at change and a person start frustrating and also increase
human illness, suffering and death (Boolchandani, D’Souza and Dantas, 2019). As a result,
antimicrobial resistance also results to reduce the ability of immune system to treat infection and
as a result, it also lead to increase side effects from the use of multiple and high power
medications.
Antimicrobial resistance on Community development: It also create negative impact
upon the community development. Such that there are many communities who create awareness
among people so that they prevent from antimicrobial resistance such that public campaign on
preventing and managing common health, improving water and sanitation practice. Also, create
awareness of danger of self- dosing with antibiotics could also lead to affect health in opposite
manner (Tacconelli and Pezzani, 2019). In addition to this, due to not getting treatment by the
first line antibiotics, which require long duration of illness and treatment in hospitals which also
increases the care cost and this in turn uplift economic burden on facilities as well as societies.

However, it has been critically evaluated that WHO keep responding to this issue but they also
require technical assistance in order to create awareness of antimicrobial resistance so that it will
not cause any harm to community. Not only this, there is a need of good quality and affordable
primary health care services so that it will not affect the overall community in opposite manner.
