INTRODUCTION
In current time, most of the organizations are moving towards digital technology as it enhances
their performance and profit ratio in the competitive market. Use of traditional practices is
reduced in the organization because to make the workload easy and to reduce the time and
efforts, organizations are adopting and using digital technologies in their practices. In the current
scenario, impact of digital technologies on the small scale organization like Anyjunk will be
discuss and also include that how they support them in the innovation and growth. Anyjunk is
the waste management service provider business based in London who collect all the waste
material from the city and reuse that material again. Digital technologies are also used in this
organization regarding their order placement, employee’s details and tracking of locations.
This report will provide the aim and objectives of the project which is selected in this report and
after that project management plan is also developed through which planning and
implementation of project can be done. After that work breakdown structure will also be
designed under which four main activities are included and their sub activities are also covered.
According to work breakdown structure, Gantt chart will also be designed under which activities
are allotted time as per their requirements. Research will also be conducted in this report under
which face to face interview and questionnaire will be used. At the end of the report,
recommendations will also be provided through which performance of the organization by using
digital technology can be improved.

P1 Devise project aims and objectives for a chosen scenario
Aim and objectives are required to be analyzed by the business researcher regarding the selected
project so that they can get support while designing, development and implementation of the
project can be done. Aims of the project are the general statement which consider the entire goals
and intentions of the project but on the other side objectives are the steps of individuals through
which researcher can meet the goals which are defined. So aims and objectives both need to be
clear and measurable. Researcher requires for establishing aim first then formulating their
objectives for the selected project. Project aim can be one or two only but objectives can be
numerous as compare to aim (Oldham and Da Silva, 2015).
Project management is the process of discipline of planning, initiating, executing, closing and
controlling of the team work for achieving the specific and common goal so that they can meet to
their specific criteria of success. Project management involve in the projects so that proper
planning, implementation and monitoring of the selected project can be done. Using project
management strategies will definitely provide best result or outcome to the organizations
(Kerzner, 2013). In the current scenario, impact of digital technologies on the small business
organizations will be discuss so that it can be identified that how digital technology supports
them in their growth and innovation. Selected organization is Anyjunk who is London based
organization dealing in the waste material management services.
Currently digital technology use becomes wider as every organization whether small, medium or
large use digital technology for their quality of services and products. To enhance the business in
respect of services it is important that organization can use latest technologies and also trained
their employees do use the technologies. Major impact has put on the performance of the
organizations when they use technologies and that impact can also support them to improve their
services and performance in the competitive market (Fitzgerald et al, 2014). Anyjunk
organization also have major use of digital technologies and this will surely put major impact on
their performance and support them in their growth and innovation plans.

Main aim of this project is to understand and identify the impact of digital technologies on the
small organization like Anyjunk and how they support in their growth and innovation process.

As per the above mentioned aim and objectives, it become clear that business project will mainly
focused on bringing and managing some improvement in the digital technology so that it can
support organization in their competitive market. With the help of digital technology,
organization can retain their customers and can easily satisfy their customers through their
advance technologies.
P2 Produce a project management plan that covers aspects of cost, scope, time, quality,
communication, risk and resources for the project
Project management is the plan which is basically a formal document and that is used for
managing and execution of the business. The project actions are documented in the form of plans
which support in preparing, defining, coordinating, integrating for the various task in the project.
Thus it define that project management is the process of planning, executing, controlling and
closing of the selected project. The designed project management plan can be used by the
researcher of Anyjunk for recording their decisions; assumptions of the planning and
communication process to their stakeholders and this require cost, scheduling and scope of the
project (Crawford, 2014). Plan for project can be summarized and detailed as per the
requirements. Following are some steps and components which are included while preparing the
project management plan:
Discuss the plan with the key stakeholders (Step1)
Stakeholders are the major assets for the organization so it is important to discuss entire project
plan with the stakeholders under which employees, supplier, top management employees and

other important stakeholders are involved. For this manager of Anyjunk need to set a meeting
with the stakeholders and send one official letter to invite them under which agenda, time and
place of meeting need to be mentioned (Fleming and Koppelman, 2016). Discuss will include-
risk management plan, procurement plan, quality plan, communication plan and staffing plan.
Define and delegate roles and responsibilities (Step2)
In one project there are number of persons who are involved so it is important to equally delegate
roles and responsibilities among them as per their skills and knowledge. Under this first identify
the number of employees and their skills and as per evaluation distribute the roles. For example:
Person who is expert in marketing can be given marketing role and sales person can get sales
work.
Roles can be delegated between the employees, who are involved in the project such as sponsor
of the project, project manager, project team, end users and others (Turner, 2016). For example:
Project manager can perform their roles and responsibilities under which guide other team
members, monitor and control the performance of the project, regularly review and make
changes if required in the project can be done by the project manager.
Conduct meeting (Step3)
Write an official mail and send it to all the key stakeholders who are eligible in the decision
making process of Anyjunk. Under the meeting discuss the details and important points about the
project so that ideas and opinion of the other members can also be taken. Meeting conducted by
Anyjunk include the discussion of strategies, roles, vision of project, responsibilities and team
management plans.
Produce scope statement (Step4)
Scope statement explains the project outcome which is undertaken by the team. This document is
the most significant as it define the entire project. This statement explains the project and applied
to cover the agreement between the stakeholders which is related to the scope (van Aartsengel
and Kurtoglu, 2013).
Produce baseline (Step5)
After identifying the outcome from the scope statement then design work break down structure
through which delivering of the project can be identified between the employees and team. It

includes entire deliverables determined in the project, large deliverables which broke down in
small deliverables and work packages and per the operations and task.
Develop cost and schedule baseline (Step6)
This step is related to identify the activities which are required to produce work packages by
developing work break down structure. After that determine the resources and time to finish the
activity. Under this prepare Gantt chart and as per this project Gantt chart is for duration of 10
months.
Develop baseline for management plan (Step7)
After developing scope, time and cost baseline then next step is related to develop management
plan baseline to manage the team deviations. This plan includes monitoring and approval to
amend the baseline and bring changes in the plan if required.
Identify risk and quality of project (Step8)
After preparing the entire baseline, identify the risk in the project by which losses can be faced
by them during or after project implementation. Then plan for some strategies to reduce or avoid
the risk in the project. Identify the quality of the project so that changes or modification can be
done in the project on right time.
Communicate with team (Step9)
Designing of the project management is not enough for the organization its communication with
the entire team and key stakeholders are also required. Project sponsor is also required to execute
the plan and for this communication about the project is required (Burke, 2013). Communicate
project plan with the team under which provide information about- aim, objectives, visions and
procedure of the project to meet the competitive benefit can be discussed.

Gantt chart define the activities and there duration required for execution of the activities. With
the help of Gantt chart activities can be implemented limited the appropriate time. Planning,
designing, implementation, monitoring and feedback are the activities and these activities are
defined within the duration so that execution of the project plan can be done along with time
management.
The Gantt chart covers the following step:
1. Make a project table: Gantt chart with entering the data in the spreadsheet of the excel.
Each data assign in different row and different column. The data includes like starting
date, ending date and duration for completing the task.
2. Create a chart for standard Excel Bar: select the ranges for starting date in the column bar
not in the column. Then click on insert tab and charts group then on click bar. After this,
click on the standard bar below the section of 2-D bar.
3. Addition of duration data: choose the select data by right click on the chart area from the
context menu. Then click button add for including other data in the table. Type duration
on opening the Edit series window. Small edit series open and then click the duration
time. Now click on the icon of Collapse Dialog. This helps a user to move on previous
Edit Series. Then under the legend entries, the data source window open woith the
starting date and duration date.
