The following paper helped me learn the usefulness of APA style of referencing in
academic compositions. The paper opens with the reflection on the usefulness of APA style of
referencing and thereafter reflects on the application of the referencing style in compositions.
The module has helped me gain better knowledge on the fact that APA citations and
references that are provided to the assignment helps the readers to have certain area for cross-
references regarding the matter that is addressed by the composition. The APA style of
referencing is generally used in study fields of nursing, business, criminology, economics,
sociology and other such disciplines (Williams & Davis, 2017).
The module has further helped me learn that the APA style of referencing would help in
providing proper acknowledgement and credit to earlier researches that have been helpful in the
development of content of a certain composition (Jefferies et al., 2018). The knowledge on APA
referencing style would help me to compose assignments as well as conduct researches in the
field of nursing in a proper manner and acknowledge the assistance that I would receive for
penning down any composition.
Thus, the above discussion concludes that the APA style of referencing is important for
acknowledgement of information sources required for academic compositions.
