I have been required to show cause against exclusion from the Bachelor of ……… degree for an
unsatisfactory rate of progress. I would like to show cause against my exclusion on the grounds
that:

During the past sessions, I have experienced considerable ill-health and misadventure. I will first
outline the factors that contributed to my poor academic performance, and then explain why
these factors are unlikely to operate in the future. I will also draw to your attention the evidence
that I believe demonstrates that I am academically capable.
I was unsuccessful in my first attempt at Session 201930 due to ………

School environment was a key issue behind my failure of the first attempt. This issue considers the
following aspects:
 Lack of school funding for enabling hiring the qualified teachers

 Culture of school that does not endorses hard work
 Poor infrastructure is negative factors in my academic progress
 Congested classrooms are also unfavorable factor in my academic progression
 My school was unable to afford to purchase the essential facilities and equipment that
offers less than desired education quality
I was unsuccessful in my second attempt at Session 201960 due to ………

In my second attempt, I got failed because before starting the exams, I was not in my home. My
cousin's sister was suffering from cancer and, she lives out of the city. I go there for caring her. For
evidence, I can provide medical reports for my cousin sister.
Factors contributing to my poor academic performance

There were different factors that have impacted my results such as financial constraints and
medical problems. For example, I did not have enough money for purchasing textbooks, and other
study materials required for reaching success. Along with this, I was suffering from Dengue that
created hurdles for me for obtaining favorable outcomes. For evidence, I would like to present the
income report of my parents, and my medical report.
Why these factors will not impact on my studies in the future

information to support claims such as attendance of courses, regained health, reduced
work/family commitment, past similar experience, etc.].
I ensure that these factors would not impact my studies in the future such as I would like to
regularly attend my courses, improved my health, declined family commitments, and past similar
experiences. For managing these factors, I would create a time schedule for it.
Evidence that I am academically capable

I can present my current medical report that indicates I am well. Furthermore, I can present my
parent's income report that shows I have an adequate amount for purchasing learning materials.
I appeal to the Acting Executive Director of Student Administration to review the decision to
exclude me from the name of course and to allow me to continue with my studies. I am fully
committed to a career in the name of profession and I would like to be able to be given an
opportunity to demonstrate that I have the aptitude to achieve good grades.
