After reading the article, I analyzed that:
The article states that in March 2019, Apple as one of the renowned company has
publicized its first credit card. It includes a thin titanium slab that will provide the
purchasers with cash back of 3% at Apple stores, 2% on Apple Pay and 1% in
universally. However, it received criticism as other smart card including ‘Citi’s Double
cash card’ and ‘Chase Freedom and Discover It’ provides with better discounts (Harding ,
2019).
In relation to the article, apple cards focuses on customer privacy. It has unique features
including no CVV number. It allows the users to make payments through fingerprints and
facial recognition. Additionally, it will keep the customer details secret by not selling
customer data to other companies (Harding , 2019).
As per the article, Thad Peterson (senior analyst of Aite group) and Zach Honig (editor at
‘The Points Guy’) favors the benefits of the Apple card. Rich Jones, co-host of Paychecks
and Balances laid less significance on the card usage (Harding , 2019).
Comparing the Sapphire Reserve card with Apple card, it states former provides more
benefits than apple credit card. However, on the application of Apple debit card, it
provides the customers with interest benefits on the set margin. Moreover, it also depend
whether customers prioritize safety or discount from the payment card (Harding , 2019).

Apple products. It states that the applied strategy should provide multiple benefits to the
company. However, framing a strategy is a crucial task as even big companies like Apple have
received criticism for its new product ‘payment card’ (Harding , 2019).

selected because it is from the renowned magazine, Fortune. Additionally, it is a recent article of

From my perspective, I think that it is essential to share the article with the class, as
almost every individual is familiar with the well-known Company, Apple therefore it will gain
mass attention. Additionally, it will provide them with latest information of Apple new product
launch with clear advantages. Moreover, it will enhance their knowledge, as it will provide them
with an insight of strategy formulation in the business process.
