INTRODUCTION
The procedure of globalization is about the merging of nationwide economies on a global level.
This has led to an alteration of the labour culture in nations (Steger and Wilson, 2012). The
positive effects of globalization on workers can be seen by improved standards of living in
nations. Moreover, employees from particular areas can take a trip and practise superior
employment in other nations. Globalization has also improved the level of social awareness of
employees and has increased their professional goals (Haugen and Mach, 2010).
When a business spreads out its operation into other nations, the impact of globalization on
human resource development (HRD) and management is noteworthy (Haugen, and Mach). The
businesses has to think about a different types of practical amendments to be capable of hiring,
training, retaining and supporting a staff that's usually spread all over various nations, which
usually has differing cultural identities (Georges and Goldsmith, 2010). HRD should adapt their
thoughts and practices to incorporate cultural disparities, foreign rules and technical
developments.
Employees may address the hope of technology training with eagerness or with hesitation, on the
basis of what the technology entails and how it will influence employment in the corporation.
Employees might be sceptical regarding technology that mechanizes manual jobs. Technology
has already restored 90% of the jobs that persons utilised to do a century ago, from ranching
grasslands to filing documents (Burstein and Vogel, 2010).
At present, automatic checkouts replace the grocery store and retail employees – and self-driving
vehicles are placed to substitute taxi, bus and truck drivers. These are only two instances of what
might be there in the future. In case, the organization is training some key employees in utilising
new automatic equipment or in utilising latest computer programs, then the HR manager should
expect the training team to take help of automatic training techniques and equipments for
improved sessions.
Well-leveraged, latest technologies can boost effectiveness while lessening expenses too. In case
the technology does not exist then Bookkeeping would have to be performed on paper and every
computation would have to be performed by hand with a calculator, monetary transactions would
need recurrent trips to the bank. Communicating with customers could just be done through the
phone, or in personal meetings, and communication would have to be performed through mail,

Globalisation provides with opportunities to different businesses for getting the remote training
sessions for the workers and enhancing their knowledge and understanding. In this report the
example of Apple has been considered where globalization allows an exchange of knowledge
amongst different employees from diverse nations. It can be stated that there are huge synergies
created by globalization, which can get maximized by businesses like Apple
(Training.apple.com, 2019).
This research has been performed for identifying the positive impact of the globalised
technology on the staff training. The result has been taken from the data analysis and meaningful
conclusion is prepared along with the recommendations in the end.
BACKGROUND OF THE COMPANY
Apple began in 1976 as a computer corporation. In the past few years, however, Apple has
developed into an extraordinarily complex corporation that focuses on much more than only
computers. In 2001, Apple removed the hurdle by the iPod, finally turning to be the top market
leader in music players. In addition, Apple became part of the phone business in 2007 with the
iPhone, which has also been extensively flourishing. Apple is a consumer’s goods organisation,
and so evaluation of the business value needs knowledge of the goods and customers. This is
highly tough as Apple is in competition with lots of organisations of various industries. One of
the highly unique aspects regarding Apple is that it has highly strong client base.

positive changes in technology because of globalisation. The methods used in this study are both
the qualitative as well as quantitative approaches for gathering data from primary and secondary
sources and for fulfilling the goals of the research. In this report there was a survey question
shared with the workers of Apple and their responses were considered as part of concluding
ideas off the research (Newhorizons.com, 2019). This sharing of questionnaire has been carried
out by use of digital channels.
Excluded Scope
In this project cover no particular Geographic area has been considered yet Apple organisation
has been taken, which operates in different parts of the world. There is no coverage of any other
aspect related with globalisation, apart from technology. Even the negative effects of
globalisation have not been discussed in this report for apple. The project paper lacks high
reliability and accuracy because of globalisation being such a volatile subject and due to Apple
having such a wide area of operations. Therefore only few responses from workers were
considered as the sample for coming to conclusion of the research.
Timeframe and time management
For the completion of the survey and research in a timely manner there has been creation of
project log book format, Gantt chart and work breakdown structure (Liu, 2012). By using this
tool, the researcher was able of tracking and controlling the progress of the research. For this
project it has been declared that it would need around 10 weeks to accomplish the project
Quality Control
The timely accomplishment of research is assured by the Gantt charts, project log books and the
WBS. This way there has been assistance to manage and control the progress of the research
study. There has been fixation of 10 weeks for the chosen research. It is anticipated to end by
30th June.
There has been use of ethical ways of performing the research therefore the bias behaviour and
unlawful methods are not sought. There has been no plagiarism and quality assurance is there.
For assuring the ethical approach, there has been guidance sought from supervisor at certain
stages of the project. There was use of questionnaire used for focussed group survey to collect
positive changes in technology because of globalisation. The methods used in this study are both

enhanced understanding among the staff members of Apple who are located in different areas of

grand way. Technology is also useful in maintaining the business relations particularly in the
international business.
LITERATURE REVIEW
The training and development have forever being arranged and semi predictable way utilising
age old methods. With the increase in millennial employees and their dependence on social
media and fast learning approaches, the training has to shift from traditional methods to in time
and online learning approaches (Burke, 2010). Lot of big organisations with high engagement
like Amazon, Apple as well as Google have set up new learning approaches for the rising
geniuses and these firms utilise Technology in a social and tech-savvy manner. Since
Technology provides with the capacity to learn, just as an individual is sitting with the training
manager the training is provided as and when needed along with the ability complete the task
independently and getting critic at the time of lesson learnt (Massis, 2014). Therefore in Apple
also the workers are beginning to react to the training which does not need a traditional training
and they try to get trained through the new modes of training.
By the online and virtual training approaches, the just-in-time feeling can be attained and such
training can be added to the staff's development plan, so that the future efficiency can be
achieved (Lau, 2015). The virtual training is made from e-learning, blended learning, mobile
learning, and ubiquitous learning. Why this method there is the benefit of self-pacing, taxability
of accessing the course from any place, and the availability of the training tasks at any place,
anytime with the need of the trainee (Hinrichs and Wankel, 2011). These approaches are
valuable for the remote employees and learners who have very less downtime and the workers
who want to learn at their personal speed. As given by Vinagre (2015), the workers can also get
learning through tablets, smartphones on a laptop and different portable devices. By making of
these courses accessible and compatible with technology, there can be various opportunities for
enhancing engagement and helping the workers in self development. When the workers are
focused on self development and they get training as per their requirements then and the
organisational income is added indirectly.
