INTRODUCTION
Leadership plays an important role in the business
organisation. It refers to the individual or group's
ability to influence and guide their subordinates or
other members of the organisation. There are different
types of leadership styles which are used by different
organisations according to the size and nature of the
organisation (Al-Malki and Juan, 2018). Every
organisation follows a particular leadership style as it is
important to motivate the employees and subordinates
and it helps them to work toward a particular which can
be achieved effectively and efficiently.

MAIN BODY
Apple Inc. is a well known multinational
technology company of America which offers
different products such as consumer electronics,
online services etc. Company's headquarters are
present in Cupertino, in the middle of Silicon
Valley, California of United States. It is the largest
company by revenue and the second largest phone
manufacturer company. Also it is one of the big
five companies in information technology of
America. Apple is third in the list of first 500
fortune companies of the world. Steve Jobs, Steve
Wozniak and Ronald Wayne founded the company
on April 1, 1976.

Various Leadership Styles Used By Apple Inc.
 Autocratic leadership – It is also known as authoritarian leadership in which all the
decisions related to the business are controlled by an individual. There is very little
inputs and involvement of the group members are present in this type of leadership
style.
 Democratic leadership – This style of leadership is also called participative leadership
or shared leadership in which all the members of the group are involved in the decision
making. This is one of the best leadership style to adopt by any type of organisation
such as private business, schools etc.
 Quiet Leadership – Tim Cook was very innovative and also followed this type of
leadership and he got very much praised for this. Tim was so much different from the
Steve Jobs which was previous CEO

It is important for an organisation to choose and
follow a particular leadership style as it useful
for the growth of the organisation. It is suggested
for the Apple Inc. to use or follow democratic
style of leadership for the current business
environment and uncertainties. because of the
involvement of different group members to make
a decision

Different HR strategies which can be implemented for improving
employee engagement under various leadership styles
 Communicate deliberately & regularly – Communications between HR managers
and employees on a regular basis so they can know problems or difficulties faced by
them and can rectify them efficiently and effectively
 Invite feedback – It is necessary for any organisation to welcome the feedback despite
of positive or negative. Sometimes employers ignore these types of things.
 Invest in well being – Creating a healthy workplace is an essential for bringing an
efficiency among the employees and creating better environment.
 Share organisation's purpose – HR managers should define and share the purpose of
organisation to employees as it helps the company to motivate their employees.
 Recognise the good work – It is necessary to praise employees for their good work as
they get motivated as well as get a feeling of self satisfaction

CONCLUSION
It can be concluded from the above file that leadership has a great significance in the
business organisation. It is important to have creative and innovative team leaders in an
organisations which can help in promoting efficiency in the organisation. There are
different choices available to the organisation for choosing a suitable and follow a
leadership style.
