Abstract
This paper discusses about the application of cloud computing in the health care industry. The
challenges in implementation of cloud computing in the health care sector have been discussed in
the paper. The use of the cloud computing in the health care industry have helped in
transforming traditional method of health care industry into modern approach of care services.
The benefits if cloud computing in the market has been discussed in the paper. Research
questions have been initiated in the first chapter that helps in providing a better approach to the
research. The literature review have helped in explaining the concept of cloud computing in the
health care industry the impact of the cloud computing in the health care industry have been
focused in the paper. Various theories and models have been discussed for gathering knowledge
related to the health care industry.
Screen shots of the mobile applications have been provided in the paper that helps in
understanding the functionality of the application. Data has been collected from the database and
user input in the health app. Data has been properly analyzed by using the TAM model and
hypothesis analysis. Recommendations have been provided in order to modify future changes in
the mobile application.

Background
The health care industry has been facing a lot of transformation in the market in
comparison to other industries in the market. The traditional health care method has been
transformed into modern technique that have helped in providing quality health care services. As
commented by Ahuja, Mani & Zambrano, (2012), the health care services in the organizations
have been enhanced with advanced technology including implementation of cloud computing.
However, there are various complication in the implementation of the cloud computing in the
health care industry. The working of the health care industry has been changed in recent years
due to the implementation of the cloud technologies. Various problems in the health care
industry include accuracy, confidentiality, security, reversibility and preservation. Scalability can
be achieved by deploying IaaS platform in the organizational structure. This system can be used
for diagnosing a disease. However, there is a scope for developing cost effective procedures for
providing better services.
As mentioned by Bamiah, Brohi & Chuprat, (2012), the use of cloud computing in the
health care industry might help in maintaining issues and challenges in providing quality services
to patients in health care organization. Cloud computing has been one of the advanced
technology for providing online services to various companies. This research talks about various
issues and challenges in implementation of cloud computing in health care industry. However,
this research focuses impact of cloud computing in health care industry and its various
applications in this industry. This research has followed various methodology for proceeding in
the research.

The health sector has been facing different types of problems related to providing
services to patients. The traditional method of working in health care industry has been facing
difficulties in management of record of patient. The storage and management of record of
patient’s data has been a major problem in health care industry. Therefore, this research have
focused on identifying factors affecting the implementation of cloud computing in the health care
industry. Issues in management of database of health of patients can be mitigate by fulfilling
implementation of cloud computing technology.
Purpose Statement
This research has focused on providing strategies to implement cloud-computing
technology in the health care industry. The cloud computing technology might help in providing
services, applications, processes and operations for the health industry. However, the
development of applications for the health care industry might help in mitigating issues in
providing fast services to customers in the market. The database storage issue might be minimize
by the implementation of cloud computing technology. The application might help in decision-
making skills of a doctor by guiding them with various principles. This application can help in
curing death-taking disease and reduce the risk of life of patient.

Theoretical Framework
In recent years, the health care industry has changed its vision for resolving
communication and interoperability issues related with common platform or easy access to
database. Various service models of cloud computing including software as a service (SaaS),
Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS). The health application has
helped in mitigating issues including security issues in cloud computing. It has helped in
development of the industry by providing durability and persistence. It has helped in circulating
record of patent’s heath to various doctors for providing better services. Any type of update in
the health of the patient can be done with the help of centralization of database. Instant treatment
process can be provided to patient in any emergency.

on the server. Communication plays an important role in mitigating issues in the health care
industry. The research has been carried out by maintaining the relationship with several units of

the fundamental units of cloud computing has been grid computing virtualization. The
deliverables of the cloud computing have helped in maintaining security and privacy of data and
information of the patient’s health. The research analysis have been focusing in various issues
that have been mentioned below:
 System undertaken has been isolated from non-communication
 Online availability of data for carrying out conversion of paper driven system
 Poor management of patient record
 Poor formatting of data and information
 Inefficient in retrieval of data
However, the management of resources for the health care has been a critical issue in this
industry. The cloud computing technology have helped in changing traditional working of health
care system to modern approach. This might decrease the cost estimation of resources for the
company. As mentioned by Calabrese, & Cannataro (2015), the cost of the medical application
and other resources have been decreased with the implementation of cloud computing
technology. The centralized database management system have helped in providing easy access
to data and record of patient’s heath in the health care organization. However, there are various
negative aspects of the cloud computing over the internet. The use of cloud computing have
created risks in security of data and information over the internet. This creates inefficiency in
controlling activities over the internet and managing applications and data. Security risks and

threats over the internet has been major problem in the health care system. The theoretical
framework of the cloud computing for the health care sector have focused on following:
 Cloud computing is a technology that is used for changing the traditional working of
heath care system. It can be proposed for managing the health record of patient and
provide doctors to them.
 This innovative technology have been successfully adopted by the health care industry.
Decision making process of the doctors can be improved by the implementation of cloud
computing. The five stages that are involved in the decision-making process including
decision making capability, knowledge management, persuasion, deployment of decision
and confirmation.
 Cloud computing have helped in providing new opportunities to care providers and
experts in order to sharpen and enhance their skills. The demand of medical facilities
have been provided to patients on their demand.
Significance of the study
Cloud computing have been developing and enhancing services in the health care
industry. It has also helped in transforming the traditional method of service providing into
modern concept of service providing. The cloud computing services facilities various services to
the industry. The data integration accuracy and confidentiality have been main approaches of
cloud computing. The health care services have been working for development of services using
an application named as “MyHealth App”. This application have helped in providing services at
doorstep. The cloud information framework is based on open source in order to deploy domains
for clinical data. This model works on demand of patients and providing them services. The

strategic decision making for developing a cloud computing application for recording health,
electronic medical records and other payer based health records.
Definition of terms
SaaS: It stands for Software as a Service. This cloud-computing model deals with
providing various software application to customers. The clients can use this software without
downloading and installing it in their system.
PaaS: It stands for Platform as a Service. It provides a set of platforms and software
technologies that helps user to test their application. These technologies are comprised of
databases, operating system, web servers and application development environment.
IaaS: It stands for Infrastructure as a service. This cloud computing models helps in
providing a set of services to customers. It helps in managing and storing a huge amount of data
ad files. The input and output services of this model provides an edge to its access.
Ethical Consideration
Various ethical issues are related with the implementation of cloud computing technology
in the industry including security and privacy issues. The performance metric has been confined
with the ethical consideration.
