1. Why do you want to work for us?
I want to work for you because I always believe in having a collaborative approach to each of the
projects. Therefore, when I came to know about this position in this company, I applied for this
position. I had also read an article about the initiatives of this company within the context of the
community. The volunteering has become an important part of my own values and I am
extremely excited to become a part of your initiatives. I appreciate the dedication of this
company towards the employees, the customers and it will be my pleasure if I get to become a
part of this whole family. Moreover, the works of this company are listed in one of the top places
to work at. I have further read the testimonials of the employees and heard about the enthusiasm
for employee encouragement and engagement with trainings and resources. The campaigns of
the company show better work environment and I would love being a contributor in your
innovative team and learn new skill to grow within the company.
2. Tell us about a time you worked in a group to achieve an objective (what did you do
and what was the outcome?)
I prefer to work in the middle of the team members since I believe that the biggest ideas are
developed in the state of partnership with others. I am also comfortable in terms of being a team
member and the team lead too. Few years ago, I was selected as the quality assurance manager in
my internship days. My responsibility was to ensure that all the guidelines of the project were
followed an all the specs of the product were being met. Further, it was my job to communicate
everything to the project manager and the other members of the team. In case of the project
guidelines being missed or in case that the phases were not met properly, I communicated all my

findings to the manager who took some necessary actions in order to fix the issues. I have been
praised for my promptness and team managing capacity.
3. Tell us about a time when you identified a new approach to solve a problem. (what did
you do and what was the outcome?)
During the time of my internship, I observed all of the team members to analyse how much they
are fit for the teamwork and how well they can divide work within themselves. I found out that
there is a communication problem among the team members and they cannot properly discuss
issues and the subject to make the project a successful one. I solved the problem through
arranging for a weekly meeting where I lead the conversation. All the members were allowed
and requested to show their opinion and concerns related to the project and other members were
requested to respond to those as well. In this manner, I tried to solve the problem of
communication and I did it successfully. The weekly meeting was continued and there was a
visible improvement after 3-4 meetings.
4. Tell us about a time when you had to manage a number of different priorities and
complete a number of tasks in a short amount of time (what did you do and what was
the outcome?)
I have been in a situation where I had to manage different priorities with lots of work. Since I
was with the responsibility of managing the team and there were different segments of managing

the tea. The time was limited and I had to ensure everything was at its place. Therefore, in order
to save the deadline, I created a time –audit to manage the time properly. I downloaded certain
mobile apps to keep track of the time invested on specific tasks. I further set a particular time-
limit to each of the tasks that prevented me from being distracted. As a back-up plan, I made use
of a to-do-list but did not actually abandon the tasks. I believe that all of the goals along with the
projects were made up of the smaller parts that need to be accomplished for achieving or
completing the projects. The to-do list for each of the projects was created having listed all of the
measurable steps which need to be accomplished. In this manner, I managed the task and
completed the priorities within the limited timeline. The outcome was that, the tasks were
successfully done without fail and the everything were in their order.
5. Tell us about a project you worked on that required you to persuade others to your
point of view (what did you do and what was the outcome?)
I was stuck in a situation where a debate raised about the wireless provider that should be used
for the concession lines. Two of the providers were considered as having similar plans for the
comfortable prices. Hence, most of the colleagues were well interested in terms of working with
the providers. I managed the situation through researching on both the companies along with the
plans offered by them. In the due course, I found out that the less known company was going to
offer some more benefits to us with same amount of money. In order to demonstrate all of my
findings, I had created a specific graph that showed the benefits offered by each of the providers.
I then showed to all the members and they understood my point. The concern was resoled

properly and saved money a lot. The outcome was that everyone was happy with the decision
and the issue was calmly resolved up to greater extent.
Reflection on Interview practice
Reflective writing is a type of analytical practice where the writer properly describes an
actual or the imaginary scene, the interaction, a memory, a passing thought or any other on one
such incident, the emotion, the feeling or the situation. I have learnt about the Gibbs Reflective
Cycle by Graham Gibbs in the practical manner. This self-reflection tool enables people to think
in the systematic manner regarding the experiences (Tanaka, Okamoto and Koide 2018). It also
often makes people think about all of their own actions and change all their behaviours. This
further makes people become aware of the own behaviour and change it accordingly (Potter
2015). I would like to reflect on the interview practice based on the Gibb’ Reflective cycle. In
the interview, my ability was tested how I meet the criteria and skills of the given vacancy. It
has given me the scope of voicing some skills I have in my skill bank. I had received the
feedback and my reflections are based on that. I also would like to say that during the first term, I
had found myself being inwardly questioning the validity and the reliability of the scientific
journals. It was quite surprised at the way the other group members appeared being automatically
trusting the content of the peer-reviewed journals and sometimes I also felt whatever was
presented to the group was accepted in the form of a facts. In the interview, I was asked to
present the cover letter and the CV after which I was asked to answer some questions related to
my past experiences and my previous leadership, team work and the convincing power.
