Project
AI Summary
This project investigates the influence of technology in education. The assignment begins by identifying technology in education as a key issue, providing background information on its emergence and relevance, supported by research. The project then presents survey findings, highlighting the positive impacts of technology on education, as well as its challenges. The purpose of the survey project is to explore the effects of technology in education. The project includes a survey questionnaire designed for both educators and the general public, covering various aspects of technology's role in education. The assignment also explains the repeated measures design, including its advantages and disadvantages. The student analyzes the impact of technology on education, its role in addressing current world issues, and the importance of adapting to technological advancements.

APPLICATIONS OF EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH – SURVEY PROJECT
In the education field, numerous problems have risen that are influencing the mankind both
directly and indirectly. Currently, the emergence of technology in the education field has become
an issue that needs a serious attention from the stakeholders. Therefore, one of the major issues
that are currently experienced in the education sector is:
Technology and Education
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The introduction of technology in the field of education began by mid-1600s when advanced
libraries were introduced. Later in 1970s computers were also incorporated as a result of the
invention of the computers. In the 1980s, approximately twenty percent of schools in the United
States of America and the Great Britain were already experiencing the technological
advancement. By 2005, almost fifty percent of the public schools had laptops in use and about
90% had internet access by 20111.1
The relevance of identifying technology and education as an issue
In the present life, according the research conducted by some of the trusted news agencies in the
world, it is evident that the advancement of technology in the education filed is a serious issue in
spite of its utilization in the education sector. It is therefore relevant to have a concern since it
has direct cause and effect. In as much as there is struggle to adopt technology, some challenges
still come in place. For instance, poor professional development is a serious encounter because

the teachers who are supposed to provide the students with skills on how to use the computers
have got their struggles in the learning of the technology. The poor skill development is a
disadvantage to the learn since they end up not well equipped with what the job market demands
from hence unsuitable to the dynamic job market. Therefore, poor skill development amongst the
learners in the classroom. To overcome this, the teachers are supposed to be exposed to rigorous
training in order to help them advance in technological skills2.2
Survey findings
In a survey finding in conducted in the US, it shows that about 74% of educationalists
surveyed alleged that technology plays vital role in helping them develop on the
content; a similar percentage supposed that technology is like a motivator; and 74%
of those surveyed admitted that technology assists them in responding to diverse
learning styles. Additionally, 69% of them said that technology has facilitated them
to achieve more than before to their students’ skill development. This is as recorded
by Corey Murray, 2013.
The purpose of the survey project
The identified problem is critical in the current system since skills and professionalism are very
important aspects that are supposed to be consider due to the dictates of the current job market.
Therefore, it is necessary to consider the effect on the present life and the revolution that is
happening currently. The changes that are being experienced presently calls for attention of the
mankind to be aggressive so as to catch up with the revolution since the job market has become

dynamic; in case the human race won’t adopt change, for instance, responding so quickly to the
diverse learning skills like the technology, then there will be no jobs for the mankind or rather
ways of survival hence being erased from the face of the earth. This is as a result of the
advancement in technology, to the extent that even the medical field has been overtaken by the
robots, such that they perform surgery in place of man. Therefore, the educationalists should be
alert the emerging danger that is yet to come, so as to save the human race3.
Moreover, in spite of the wonderful developments that we have experienced as a result of the
technological advancement, it is our duty to change the situation in the education field.
Responsiveness and concern are desired to aid in restoring the natural world and mankind before
humanity is gotten rid of totally. Since education has been in assistance to create the industrial
world, this 2018 should be the time to use education in helping to restore the impairment that the
industrial world has caused4.3
In addition, it is relevant for the learners to identify with the currently challenges in the world,
that means that they need to informed of the forthcoming danger that is yet to consume them.
Consequently, they are required to be ready to diversify their advanced skills so as to help in
culminating the current issues that are already in place. It is therefore the responsibility the
teachers to inform them of the looming peril5.

Before offering the new skill to be learnt, a number of questions can a rise in order to be able to
offer the best to the learners for their future experience and the general public. Therefore, a
questionnaire can be developed in order ton assist in the survey6.4

Repeated Measures Design
In this case, only one group participants or the same tests on each subject are the ones that are
repetitively used in conducting an experiment after different handling.
Case study:
For instance, to conduct a test on different taste of new products of a company, like new sodas,
the surveyor who is responsible for the investigation is expected to gather a group of people and
involve them in the process of tasting the new beverage product. The group involved is expected
to give a feedback after drinking the new sodas by rating them, then drink and give a rating for
the already existing beverage that has been popular. The already existing soda is to act as a

control for the experiment in the survey. The surveyor can decide to make changes in the order
of treatment though all of the subjects under investigation are exposed to similar treatment.
Therefore, there is use of limited resources but with the best outcome.
Advantages of repeated measures design in this experiment
To begin with, it can allow for the effect of the treatment to be measured at various time intervals
while using the similar subjects. Therefore, it is essential in analyses that follow one group of
people for a period.
In addition, it is relatively cheap and simple to use in conducting a survey since it is likely to
identify certain statistical variations with a lesser number of samples to be studied. The repeated
measures design involves the utilization of similar participants and the already existing one acts
as control for the experiment.
Finally, it's habitually challenging to govern the variables that could be dissimilar between
subjects, such as the disparity in taste amid subjects in the soda taste. It decreases the
consequence of this inconsistency as similar subjects are utilized during the experiment. This
enables the scientist to come up with a prevailing statistical deduction with a moderately trivial
set of topics.
Disadvantages of repeated measures design in this experiment
In as much as there are numerous benefits if the repeated measures design, there are also a
number of setbacks that are experienced. For instance, order effect is experienced as a result of
the variation in the time interval at which the treatment of the subjects was conducted. This
therefore leads to fluctuation in results. Like in the case of the taste of sodas, there can be a
challenge of fatigue in the whole process lasts for long rather than the expected time. There can

be variation as well in the outcome since the same group that tasted the flavored drink performed
the test at different intervals, the first one to be tasted can give a wrong perception to the one that
is lastly tasted hence inaccuracy in results, this is as stated by Turanovic7.5
