ABA, grounded in learning and behavior principles, aims to teach skills and modify behaviors using techniques like classical and operant conditioning. The essay highlights various ABA approaches, including incidental training and discrete trial training (DTT), emphasizing the importance of tailoring interventions to individual needs. It also reflects on the role of a therapist in conducting critical child development projects, analyzing the child's daily activities to understand their strengths and weaknesses. The essay further addresses the challenges posed by autism, such as delayed development in language, movement, and learning, and suggests steps like regular check-ups, social interaction observation, and genetic testing to overcome these challenges. Ultimately, the goal is to create personalized autism treatment plans to improve the lives and future growth of children with autism. How Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is influencing the mental, physical
and behavioural health of children diagnosed with different form of
autism
The applied behaviour analysis is undertaken as the therapy which is based on the concept or
science of learning and behaviour. ABA leads to influence the physical, behavioural and mental
health of children as it leads to focuses on the teaching skills and altering the behaviours (Shireen
and Shrawankar, 2019). The therapists lead to use behaviourist learning principles like classical
conditioning, operant and so on. Here, there are several types of applied behaviour analysis that
tends to use the variety of approaches during the sessions. It includes:
Incidental training: This method is developed on the same reward and prompt approach as
the incidental training and its objective is to teach behaviours under the context of daily life of
child. Here, employees develop or grasp things during the dinnertime or playtime and these
training sessions can be conducted by the teachers and parents.
Discrete trial training (DTT): Under this, the specific skills was classified under the smaller
one and each step is being practiced as the set number times as the child performs the task in
correct manner then reward them like toy, candy, stickers and so on (Newcomb and Hagopian,
2018). If, the incorrect answer is given by child then therapist again repeat the question in order
to get prompt answer by providing proper instructions.
Being a therapist, the project of child development was conducted in a very critical manner
by analysing the proper conditions and situation of children. In order to study the overall
behaviour of child, it is important me that the child must need to perform his/her daily activities
so that one can understand and analysis lack points of child. Autism is the kind of disorder which
is mostly seen among the children during their growth period and it include delayed development
of several skills like language, movement, walking, learning, hyperactive or impulsive
behaviour, Epilepsy or Seizure disorder and many more. I as a therapist need to take several
steps in order to overcome from autism like regular check-up. I need observe the child and also
ask the about the social interactions, communication skills and overall behaviour that has been
developed and changed over the time. Take the test of child by covering their hearing, language,
speech, developmental level and other concerning issues (Liao, Dillenburger and Hu, 2021). I
need to present the effective structure of social and communication interactions to their child and

score the overall performance. I also recommend genetic testing to examine the performance of
child like the one has a genetic disorder like Rett syndrome and so on. Further, I as a therapist
need to find the non-verbal method and ways to connect with child by in order to figure out the
motivation behind the tantrums. I need to pay attention to the overall activities of child and also
analyse their sensory pattern for better development. I need to create the personalised autism
treatment plan to cure children and make their living better for the future growth.
