Values Audit
The qualities which have helped me a lot in doing well in my degree and the ones,
which I highly respect, are discussed as follows;
Excellence
It is important for one to be on healthy terms with his/her boss or leader and let them
know, what the interests of the individual are.
Leadership
It is highly important to volunteer the work teams as well as network with the people
outside and inside of the company.
Respect
Individuals should respect each other and regard every supposition, voice as well as
dedication. Trusted and strong associations completely depend upon how a person respects
others.
Integrity
The integrity of an individual proves how he/she value others and behave with them
honestly and ethically.
Accountability
It is important to try to deal with each and every situation by confronting the issues in
a confident manner. Moreover, the individual should know how to embrace all sorts of
criticism
Professional development has the power to help an individual in advancing his/her

and coursework as well (Parmenter 2015). Furthermore, holding the personal values will also
enable an individual to work and identify the potential employers who share similar views
(Harackiewicz et al. 2014).
I would like to pursue a degree in system analytics and want to see myself as a system
analyst. During the degree, I have gained useful skills and experiences, which will assist me
in future as well.
I have developed several skills and listed five of them;
Broader knowledge of software, programming and hardware;
The ability of learning quality;
The ability of contributing to the team efforts;
A logical approach to the problem solving;
Client handling and good interpersonal skills along with the abilities of managing
expectations of the team members and explaining technical details.
Capability Audit
Firstly, it is immensely important to remember that some employers place great
emphasis upon these attributes and skills, at the time of recruiting the graduates. However, it
does not mean that they look for these skills only. Even if an individual do not have
professional experience, it does not mean that they will not have these specific skills. An
individual will be able to draw some parallel lines between these attributes and skills if they
think about their extracurricular activities or part time job. This will enable them to get the
ideal job after graduation.
Moreover, it is important to keep in mind that the kind of responses, an individual
needs to write for the selection criteria totally depends upon the kind of job, the individual is

applying for. Different employers will test the applicants, by asking them different set of
questions. It will vary from company to company and the selection criteria are often utilized
in university and government recruitment exercises. Few employers might focus on the
applicants’ qualifications or work skills. On the other hand, some may focus on the
applicants’ work experience. Moreover, some employers also ask situational questions and
how the applicant might deal if such a situation arises. For instance; one may be asked if
he/she have attained a particular qualification or if he/she have a driving license or not. In
addition to this, the employer might also ask the applicants regarding their way of prioritizing
tasks or meeting deadlines. Furthermore, he/she might be asked to throw light upon dealing
with challenging situations or difficult people and how he/she have shown his/her leadership
skills.
In several job applications, the written section criteria are being broken down into
‘desirable’ and ‘essential’ qualities. One should be able to discuss about the essential qualities
and skills, which are immensely important for the job position. If the individual demonstrates
his/her desirable qualities, it will strengthen the job application.
The five common criteria for selection of the candidates, the employers use often,
while choosing the graduates are;
1. Communication skills (oral and written): At the time, when I used to work as a
customer service manager at Aphrodite food, I had meetings with each level of
customers and management, on a regular basis. Therefore, possessing communication
skill was vital for me. I ensured that I do not just engage merely my target audience,
but also connect with them on a professional level.
2. Critical reasoning as well as technical/ analytical skills: Being a planner, it is
important to be organized, efficient and more productive with the job. It is important

to plan everything strategically and execute them in an efficient manner by
prioritizing the tasks and managing the time. It was important for me to ensure that
the department operated efficiently and effectively, particularly when the upper
management made certain work requests, that were unexpected at that point of time
(Spinuzzi et al. 2015).
3. Teamwork skills: The overall success of my team members in both professional and
learning environment needs to be attributed to excellent team work, where each
person needs to demonstrate their position. The teams can be successful and function
most effectively, when the team objectives and goals are aligned. It is immensely
important to have the attitude ‘your success is my success.’ My ability of working as a
part of the team is the standard requirement (Viney, Clarke and Cornelissen 2017).
4. Work experience and customer services: I have great experience in this particular
area as I have a compete advanced degree in the business management. In addition to
this, I have work experience as a customer service manager as well, in a food
company (Merchant et al. 2014).
5. Leadership skill: Through my experiences, I have also gained skills on running a
project as a team leader. I know how to motivate my team and solve their problems.
This can be considered as quality control criteria, which the team leaders should have
in order to assist the consultants with training and coaching (Rusko, Härkönen and
Liukkonen 2016).

How am I supposed to develop my current role? Is the current role giving me enough
experience of developing my skills as well as knowledge for reaching the career
goals?
Thinking back over and reflecting everything that I do at work, turns out to be one big
opportunity of learning.
What development and learning activities will assist me in building the skills,
experiences and knowledge?
What are the outside activities you can get involved in? May I suggest you for

What are the activities one can prepare to undertake outside the work (volunteer roles
