1. Why should students avoid plagiarism?
Answer: Plagiarism is a word or idea which has already been used by others. In
other words plagiarism is a type of theft in intellectual. Plagiarism has been taken
many forms (Angélil 2014). When a person use another person’s word or idea
then it is called plagiarism. The contradiction in of student writing or writing an
assignment is that when the person wish to research and transfer the expert to
authorities, then the person is expected to write an original work (Barrón-Cedeño
.2013). It is clear and ensure that the person should clear about their own work. In
general, students from among the world face a common and general problem in
academic writing that the most of the student simply steal others work and do not
understand about plagiarism. When the student avoid plagiarism then it helps to
get in practice of working it again by the student (Gipp 2014).

2. Explain and contrast the ordering of data interpretation, data analysis, data
collection and theory when research is carried out using deductive reasoning
compared to inductive reasoning.
Answer: There exists quite difference between the approaches of inductive
reasoning and deductive reasoning to carry out a research study. However, in some
cases these two are complementary (Zalaghi and Khazaei 2016). The process of
inductive reasoning start with the data collection while conducting research. In the
next step, the pattern of the data is searched and the theory is developed to match with
the data pattern. Therefore, the ordering applied under the inductive reasoning
involves data to theory to carry out the research. On the contrary, the reverse order of
the inductive reasoning to carry out a research is followed in case of the deductive
reasoning. Under the deductive research, first the theory is selected (Hanly 2014).
Then, the theory is tested on the basis of the data. The data helps to test the
implication of the theory. The application of the deductive reasoning to research is
associated with the scientific investigation. The existing theories are taken into
consideration while conducting research under the deductive approach. Then the
hypotheses are emerged from the past theories. Finally, the hypotheses are tested in
order to complete the research. Therefore, the ordering of data collection, data
interpretation, data analysis and theory is different to conduct research applying
inductive reasoning and deductive reasoning (Lee and Lo 2014).

3. Why is it important to have a critical and skeptical approach when viewing
research?
Answer: One of the intrinsic part of viewing research is critical and skeptical
approach. It is considered as the basic underpinning of the scientific method in a
research. To assess the claim of the research, the skeptical and critical approach is
applied (Nolder and Kadous 2018). Moreover, the weighing of the evidence can also
be checked with help of this approach. The reason behind a research is finding out the
results and it encourages to take risks to conduct the experiment. It is not possible to
know the outcome before the experiments (Moore 2013). After the outcome of the
research reveals, it is required to apply critical thinking and reason to determine the
validity of the outcome. To check the validity of the outcome when critical thinking
and reason are applied, it is known as the skepticism. Hence, it can be stated that the
skeptical and critical thinking is essential while viewing research. The skeptical and
critical approach never offer justification of a preconceived conclusion of a research
study. In addition, a supported conclusion of a research study is searched by the
skeptical and critical thinking. Therefore, the reasoning process to view a research
study can be conducted with the help of skeptical and critical thinking (Scott‐Phillips
et al. 2014).

Answer: In this case the dependent variable is coffee sales and the
independent variable is introduction of hot pies. The above question shows a
