The personal and professional development plan is formulated by an individual who
works with a teacher, or supervisor or mentor whom he or she described about goals and
objectives of learning and further devise strategies to accomplish them. In addition to this, it is an
alignment with professional program of study and it is always in written form to meet its
requirements. In this context, the approaches to self-managed learning will be identified. The
assignment will also describe activities, processes which are required to review and develop
personal and professional development plan. Own skills and abilities will also discover by
preparing personal and professional development plan. Eventually, evaluation and feedbacks that
are use of effective time management strategies will be made in this report.
TASK 1
1.1 Approaches to self-managed learning
Every person whether he/she is in working or not working start the self-monitoring plan
with his/her self assessment. A person done this whether he will be practices at the college or in
the university and also work in the career. This is using in the learning of various techniques and
strategies with the help of information and data collected in the research project. Any single
person can utilize many styles and approaches so that he managed himself and learn various
things which are as under:
Social Networking approach – this is use for various strategy making and increasing
contact with different style of personality people. This type means social networking is
too much useful for making new relations. An individual is able to make new contact
easily and easily learn many things while he spends a lot of time on these social
networking sites. These websites and platforms helps in making various kinds of values,
places, culture and also helpful in increase the knowledge and preferences according to
him (Busse, Aboneh and Tefera, 2014).
Internet – it is an effective source of data and information. There is information about
every topic on the internet and an individual can utilize his abilities to learn various
things. This is known as highly efficient method of self -learning as internet provides
relevant and useful information by one click on any topic or research.

Conferences and Seminars – an individual is able to learn many things by this type and
observe various new elements and methods by using the conference and meetings with
people. This provides a big opportunity to every person for presenting his knowledge and
skills in right manner (Christie, Mullins and Tett, 2017). It is useful for improvement in
communication skills and talent in front of others and it will improvise knowledge as well
as give the best chance to others for developing and learning their various skills.
The individual and family self-management theory (IFSMT) – It is describes the self-
management that it is a systematic process in which a person & family use beliefs and
knowledge, social facilitation and self-regulation abilities. Self-management is highly
consistent with the prevention of person centred outcomes and care coordination. David Kolb's Model – This model is produced by David Kolb and its learning theory
that set out four distinct learning styles. In this context, Kolb explains that different
people naturally prefer a certain single different learning style for their growth (Busse,
Aboneh and Tefera, 2014).
Neil Fleming Vark model:. In this context, there are mainly four stages includes that are
discusses as: Visual, It refers as the individual would make analyses the visual power of
the individual and according to the performance marks would be given (Christie and
et.al., 2017). Second is Auditory, This must help to understand the listening skills of any
person. Third is Reading or writing, This is useful in demonstrating the writing and
reading skills of any person. Last is Kinaesthetic, It refers the ability to solve problems
with using individual experience or knowledge.
Other platforms – in this method, a person can use skills to improvise his talent so that
he utilize in their life style. Every individual have many strategies to enhance his personal
development plan.
Self-management is the ‘individual’s ability to manage the treatment, physical, symptoms
and psychosocial consequences and life style changes. Self-management is a process of integral
to engaging the human behaviour.
VARK- this will be standing for V-Visual, A-Aural, R-Read or write and K-Kinaesthetic sensory
modalities which would be used for learning and reflecting upon the information. These are

V- Visual- This will be including graphs, tables, flow chart, labelled diagrams, pictures and all
things which are represented in graphical presentation. While it would not be including the still
pictures of movies of videos.
A-Aural- Under this information which are heard like that of group discussion, radio or use of
phones
R-Read or write- This will include those which are written or read like that of books,
PowerPoint, internet, diaries or dictionaries as well.
K-Kinaesthetic- this will be used of experience and practice which are simulated and real like
invoking other modalities which is the key for people to connect with reality.
KOLB’s Model-
This was published in 1984 by David Kolb in his learning style model which works
according to 2 level and 4 stages cycle including that of learning style. This is the theory which
is including learning experience of all people on their daily bases and will be a part of reflection
as the integral part of learning.

There is a term which is utilized in the plan that is consistent learning. It is related to
study an individual learning. A person can take this in his life and utilize this by recognizing his
skills, particular qualities and dangers. These qualities have inside that person and this will show
after his developing program. It can be says that the qualities which are inside the persons are
decided the goal and work for achieve to desired goal. This will keep in mind and push it for
getting best results. That person is able to discover the courses of different approaches to limit
his pressure. Self-learning program allows judging, individual analysis, survey convictions and
those activities which are utilized in individual needs to take in the right way. It is help those
persons in maintaining their strategic distance from expert and their single issues which faces
every day in their life. Self-learning program may help any person to create his own standards
and it will play out his own particular capabilities by arranging and assessing his adequacies.
Improvement ant Learning Strategies
This group helps him to become an important personality. In this context, there are

1. Co Operation – This technique is use in setting collaboration with others. It is useful for
self-grooming (Olsen, 2015). In a group of person, if there is coordination or cooperation
among people than they must achieve desired growth and objectives. It provides better
working environment for accomplishment all tasks. Co operation and self motivation
enables to an individual to put up a spirited fight in the face of difficulty and critical
situation. It will happen because there is a situation of the burning desire to succeed and
overcome challenges.
2. Trainings – Training allows a person to increase his skills and develop himself in a
particular sector so that he will be able to do work more effectively. Further it also
includes developing yourself for entirely understand the work or job and improve it in the
right way. In this context, it is main key for the achievement of self-development and
allows to growth in order to clutch all opportunities that are being pursued by so many
persons. It has two major types that are on the job training and off the job training (Olsen,
2015). On the job training is utilized by any person to train their employees during the
time of workings and it is useful for an organisation to increase productivity of their
potential employees. Second is off the job training, it provides in addition to the job. In
such method trainee can not workings as an employee.
3. Innovations – Innovations is to relate with new ideas. A person can generate different
ideas from his talent and improvise these ideas. It is necessary at every place because new
ideas become key of success and innovation is important for growth and development. It
also suggests proper direction and lead to success. Innovations in different sector and self
confidence are very important for an individual especially when venturing into the
unknown (Ramia and et.al., 2016). In this context, it is significant for the achievement of
self-development and growth for that particular person in order to seize opportunities.
4. Watchfulness – A person can use courtesy to allowing his speculation before he gets
responding. This will help in better understanding about mistakes so that he would be
able yo rectify errors and it will keep consistent task process. It is an essential skill that
must possess in the individual because it is useful for the individual growth and it also
accomplished as a group than as an individual.
5. Friendly Environment – Every person should make friendly environment so that he will

with his inspirational mind of state. People who don't understand what they are supposed
to do can't do it very well. So for this reason they require getting understand about their
limitations so they don't step on others and they must create inefficiency by using
redundancy.
For individual training program, there are certain activities that can accomplishes by an
individual. According to the Institute of Personal and Development, every persona must
understand the learning and development needs that is a key aspect of effective learning and

problem solving skill within me so I should be making plan to overcome this weakness and

needed within my future career planning. I will be able to meet all my goals and targets which I

professional requirements. There are dividing these goals and objectives and into the long term
and short term so that it will easy to accomplishment of these plan. For this reason there are
various kinds of learning process that helps in the achievement of the plan and it working in
areas where this has to be developed and work according to the plan (Olsen, 2015). The table of
development chart can help in making the plan and setting the goals. If me it is not set the goals
and objectives than I would not be capable to develop and concentrate on the things that help in
accomplishing the plan. I must be able to measure the performance with respect to achieve the
planned objectives. It believes on the objectives and aims that use in making plan. Further, it
motivates and useful in order to reach at desired targets.
The Gibb's Reflective cycle method – in this context of self-reflection, there is a model
presented by the Gibb. It is usually thinking that due to under confidence and a situation of
hesitation, a person can reduce his skills as well as he/she stops speaking in front of others. So

non-useful information. There is a basic different between these primary and secondary
information. There are many people who have better understanding about their capabilities and
skills and they are over confidence that is a negative impact on their professional career. For
reflecting the individual learnings against main objectives and goals, it must require the
development plan. In this context, these are describes as follows:
