Aged Care Facility Design Analysis: Case Study of Two Projects

This assignment is a case study analyzing the design and features of two aged care facilities. The analysis includes evaluating building orientation, natural light utilization, window design, and material choices such as wood and glass. It also considers the integration of nature and landscape, internal planning, thermal mass, and ventilation systems. The study further evaluates the sustainability aspects of the buildings, including water management and walkability, with a focus on how the design meets the needs of elderly residents. The aim is to understand the functional and sustainable aspects of aged care facility design, using graphical representations to communicate the findings.
