Discussion
The micro and macro components of the environment affect the mechanisms of the entity. The
micro-environmental factors deal with problems arising from the public, raw material suppliers,
consumers, market intermediary like agents, distributors, the trade union of workers and rival
firms. The organisation aims at an increasing number of consumers (LozanoSánchez et al.,
2017). Organisations look for achieving success in profitability and that comes from consumers.
The entity targets to make profits by meeting consumer’s demand and increasing their
satisfaction level. Suppliers contribute to the success of the firm by giving supply of proper
quality of products. Consumers choose to buy any product based on its quality. The public is
base of the society, so the entity should take care that their business operations do not affect the
lives of masses in a negative manner (Xu, W et al, 2019).
Above all that, market intermediary agents is the individuals that link the company to the
customers. They help the firm to sell, promote, deliver and distribute the products to the end
customers. They can be an agency specializing in distribution to deliver products to customers.
Many firms face complications to reach out to customers. At that scenario, the role and
importance of market intermediary become evident. The Staffs and employees produce goods
and provide services to the organisations. There is the security of job and position in case of
organised staffs when compared to the unorganised staffs. For this reason, unorganised staffs
join the trade union to get security. The trade unions become sub-portions of an entity as a union
leader protects interests and create a proper working environment that can result in an increase in
the production level of the entity. Lastly, the rival firms create competition in the industry by
performing similar operating activities to acquire market and increase profitability. Therefore,
the entity needs to perform activities to develop competitive ambience in the form of product
specialization, lowering of prices and application of advanced practices in the work environment.

Figure 1: Micro-environmental Factors
(Source: Antikainen and Valkokari, 2016)
Macro environment factors have six major elements known as DESTEP. These elements are
related to public. The main reason for an organization to expand is public. The company needs to
keep an eye on any changes in demography. Economy is one of the elements of DESTEEP that
affects on the clients’ buying capacity (Hanson, 2019). Company should fix the product’s price
after surveying spending capacity of the public.
Socio-cultural forces are connected to the tastes of the common people (Ostiguy, 2017). Based
on that, a product should be eliminated or introduced. At present, to increase the productivity the
organizations take help of technological power which has changed the total business pattern
(Casio and Montealegre, 2016). The organization also needs Ecological forces. The natural
resources can alter an organization’s business method.
In order for an organization to run legally, the political forces which are a number of rules an
organization needs to follow are placed. The laws have prohibited any kind of discrimination in
the workplace.

needs cultural activities to know cultures and society of people of different countries as knowing
about the cultures of different countries help a company to grow globally. Earnings,
compensation etc are known as the economic needs which are important for an individual to live.
