Communication is an important aspect in every discipline or field. It encourages the
development of healthy bonding and relationship with co-workers enabling better working
conditions in a workplace (Kurtz, Draper and Silverman 2017). It is the act of delivering
emotions and message through verbal or non-verbal communication. Developing
communication skills helps in developing the person's ability to express their views on every
sphere. It is an important aspect of professional development and helps in career
development. It encourages better working in the workplace. Communication skill boosts in
the self-confidence that has a great impact on working (Majid et al. 2019). It also helps in the
development of personal development and communication skill helps in solving issues easily.
Communication can be improved with the development of listening, questioning and
answering skills.
Communication skills, especially in medicine or in nursing, is a very crucial aspect as
it helps in better communication with the patients. It helps in developing a team and
improving it. This helps in developing the relationship with the co-workers and solving the
issues among the members. It boosts growth while working; it also encourages a developing
relationship with colleagues (Moss 2017). Often employees find difficulty in conveying their
issues or problems that they are facing in an organization to their leaders, which can be
eliminated with the use of communication skills. Communication skill helps in increasing
productivity as the task is being conveyed clearly and in case of any issues, it helps in solving
the problem with the help of the team member or with the team leader. Communication helps
in better engaging in the job and helps in meeting the target of an organization (Delamain and
Spring 2017). Delivering a productive work also is encouraged with communication skills.
Many leaders are the prove that communication has helped in the drastic development in
bringing changes. Communication helps in the motivation and the loyalty of the employees.
When there is good communication among the employees and the manager and the leader
there has been a great increase in the loyalty of the employees.
In communication, listening plays an important role, as the person needs to listen
before communicating with the other person to whom they are communicating. It is important
to listen to the employees to meet their demands and ensure that they are having job
satisfaction. There can be no doubt that communication leads to better customer satisfaction
as it encourages listening to the customers (Beardsley 2019). Listening to the needs of the
patients and satisfying they need help in the development of the reputation of the organization
and ensure better delivery of work. There is a difference between listening and hearing.

Hearing is the random way of hearing however, listening is concentrating on the fact that the
messenger wants to portray through his message. Listening is a passive process. Listening
can be verbal as well as non-verbal, which is understanding the other person with their
gestures.
In listening to the clients, it is also important to ask a question about their way of
living and the problem they are facing. In understanding their issues, it is very important to
counter-question them, know about their problems, and resolve them. Questioning also plays
an important role among the employees as it helps in the better judging the employees
especially for the understanding of the leaders. Questioning helps in the reasoning and in
listening to the problems of the employees. Questioning helps in clarifying problems and
issues that may arise with the employees or with the patients (Maguire and Pitceathly 2002).
Questioning helps in the understanding of the person’s personality or the difficulties that a
person may be suffering from. This skill helps in resolving issues among the employees r in
any situation with the clients. Moreover, the question also helps in self-understanding. It
helps in understanding what one needs and how it can be provided with. It encourages
thoughts as to when a person keeps on questioning himself or herself they can easily assess
the person they are. Communication helps in developing the creativity of the person as
interaction helps in the development of the creativity of the person. In questioning, there is
the requirement of the understanding of the job and what question the other person needs to
be asked (Arnold et al. 2015). The question must be structured and listening to the feedback
or the answer is very important as this helps in the development of the communication skill of
the person.
Whenever a person is communicating there is a response that is obtained from the
other person. This feedback is obtained from the other person who is responding to the person
who is communicating. The feedback can be any sort of gesture or expression that helps in
understanding what the other person needs to convey through their communication. Hence,
nursing communication is a very important aspect that helps in developing a relationship with
the employees and with the clients (Boissy et al. 2016). Communication is very important. It
helps in the increase in the listening, questioning as well as obtaining the feedback from the
employees and the clients.
Communication helps in boosting customer satisfaction. With communication, the employees
are more connected with the clients or the patients and understand their needs and

requirements. Thus, helping in resolving their issues with the services and delivering the
service they require (Arnold and Boggs 2019). Hence, the organization can get feedback from

increases customers’ satisfaction with the service or the product they are offered with. It
increases the loyalty of the workers toward the organization, as there is no communication
gap between the employees and the managers. It helps in the motivation for the employees
providing them with job satisfaction (Moore et al. 2018). Moreover, communication also
helps in better working and faster production. As with the communication gap, there are
hardly any issues arising among the employees and as communication helps in meeting the
issues easily there is a better production obtained from the employees. Communication also
provides employees with producing areas where they can be innovative in the workplace and
enhances the way of working.
Thus, communication can be a great scope for improvement in nursing.
Communication has always provided various solutions to the problems that have raised in the
process of working. Communication helps in developing a relationship with the employees
along with the relationship with the clients. communication skill has helped in the
improvement of the personality of a person in every sphere and in dealing with different
situations. Hence, it can be concluded that communication is the base in every workplace. It
is the best way of resolving issues as well as handling any difficult situation. It helps in
providing more production to the organization, with an increase in the revenue and the profit
for the organization. It allows a person to handle various situations of difficulty.it increases
the efficiency of the person and helps in the betterment of the job. Communication is very
important in a person's daily life for the proper working in an organization. Thus,
communication skill helps in the overall development of the person boosting their confidence
