An explanation of team work and skills aspects in a student life
Team working skills are required by a student at every step of life. It is important for a
person to have ability to work effectively in team. There is need of various aspects that help to
develop team working skills of an individual(Samani and Rahmadian, 2017) In the life of student
there are various changes that take place. The student that communicates well and has ability to
coordinate with others is able to overcome the challenges effectively. It is vital to note that
effective communication plays a prominent role in development of the student. The person that is
able to communicate effectively is good at developing relationship with others. Another
important aspect that is required by a person to work effectively in team is related to being a
good listener. The student must listen to other members in team and then take suitable actions to
manage the work. For example, when there is any group activity given to the student. The person
needs to listen to other members and know about their skills and strong areas. After that they are
able to distribute the responsibilities and work together. So communicating as well as listening
skills both play a vital role in working effectively as a team (Ko and Kim, 2017). To achieve the
goals and objectives the team members have to manage time. There is always a deadline that is
given to the students for the group project and that is the final deadline. The team members set
their own time lines and short term objectives that facilitate them to complete the overall work in
time. It is seen that with the help of time management skills the work that is assigned to the
students is completed within time. Problem skills plays an important role in working in team. It

the group members have good interpersonal skills and that lead to good relations among them. It
facilitates the coordination among all the members and they are able to achieve goals and
objectives. There is need of critical thinking skills so as to analyse each and every point
effectively. The person that has ability to thinking from different perspectives is able to use
differentiated idea. The group is able to take effective decision that are creative in nature. All
these aspects are important for a student to work in team. As well as will help them to do the job
and work in organization effectively.
An opposing argument against the topic
It has analysed that team work is highly required for an individual to cope up at
educational as well as professional level. It is believed that, the solution of every challenging
task or critical situation is team work. As it is fact that teams are meant to provide creative an
innovative solution of work within less time to get complete. An effective team is so worth at
professional level which increase business value an potential to fight with risks and challenges.
A well maintained team members and the task carried out by them is significance for achieving
goals and objectives ( Jeong, and Chiu, 2020). But it is not easy to build team working skills
and influence it on other individuals. People have their own personality, judgements and
perception which makes impact on leaders decision and expectation to complete a task within
set paths and instructions (Why Teams Don’t Work, 2009). There may create some situation of
disagreement when team members are not satisfied with the opinion and leaders oppose them to
take risks and work as per instructions. This affects the team and its potential which breaks the
rule of giving respect to others opinion. It is not necessary that every team members have same
nature and opinion about something. it is rarely or luckily seen that, there is much harmony and
concern towards others. Therefore, team work not always prove to be effective and demands for
individual efforts. In addition to this argument, it is also believed that analysing individual
performance is also difficult to check anonymous efforts. These de regularisation of performance
check may looses team motivation and disturbs their motive to keep stuck to the path. Teams are
meant to be remain in some boundaries and limitation up to the extent of their knowledge as
leaders are suppose to target each and every one as per their indifferent behaviours (Merrick,
2018). Therefore, it has analysed that ineffective skills for team work may create hurdles In
working at job role. Also, sometimes it could be the reason for employee termination. For that
instance, a student when look to set aims for being a leader and encourage group work, they have
