In today’s technological era, innovation in technology has transformed the life of people.
It has resulted in evolution of artificial intelligence. In present scenario, the major discussion is
on whether AI is an aid for humanity or not (Elish, 2017). It is because; in many areas, AI is
beneficial and in others, it is not. But AI has benefited people to a great extent as it has become
an integral part of their life. The use of AI in daily life has improved their lifestyle. It has been
stated that AI aids for humanity as it has been beneficial in reducing complexity of task, saving
time, etc. Moreover, through this, people are able to manage their work in an effective way.
MAIN BODY
AI is the use of machine language to build computer systems that perform tasks and
activities automatically. It has become one of the most important controversial topics from the
past few years as developing computer system that is able to perform all tasks related to human
intelligence. Rapid growth of technology has transformed the way in which people communicate
with each other and their living standards. Invention of interconnected society over internet has
brought sudden and drastic changes in the world (Hallevy, 2015). This has almost eliminated all
such tasks which were earlier cannot be done without the presence of human beings. Computer
science has made a substantial advancement in development of computers that derives
automation as robots. The robots are progressively more able to understand and do things as way
human beings generally do. Moreover, it has enabled people to take challenging activities and
complete the same easily. Besides this, AI has transformed way of doing business operations. AI
systems are integrated with machines which has improved the operational efficiency.
Furthermore, it has supported employees in working in a creative way. People are connected
with houses from devices. They are able to operate it from outside as well. So, for any work, they
have to only give command. Thus, energy of people is saved which they are able to utilise in
other activities.
AI is the most modern and effective tool that incorporates the best of technologies and IT
techniques. With its extensive possibilities, it is turning out to be the best support and very
beneficial to human beings. With its wide range of application covering transportation to
medicals, AI has turned out to be a game changer in many fields. The driverless cars, automated
home solutions, robotics enabled surgeries and predicting the future trends in prior are few of the

examples where AI has been a major role player. It is evaluated that AI will dominate the future
technology. Almost everything will be automated. There will be high impact of change in
technology on the lifestyle of people. AI has helped in reducing the technical errors from task.
Thus, it has allowed people to work in a flexible way. Robots have become friends of people.
They are able to understand how humans work and accordingly, perform task. By implementing
AI system, now people are getting more leisure and free time. However, their needs and desires
have increased as well. People want high quality things to fulfil the demands. It has raised their
standard of living in society. In many areas, AI is used to provide flexibility in generating results
(Tomasik, 2017). This is done by the automating activities.
As said by Montes, 2017 in future, AI will result in rise of new job and opportunities in
technical field. There will be almost 800 million new jobs created till 2030 in AI. Along with
this, it will be easy for business to maintain the quality of products and services. The goals and
objectives can be attained in given time and by utilising resources in an effective way. Also,
integration of AI in machine will ease the business process. Employee’s job roles will be
redefined increasing their skills and knowledge. Thus, they will be able to handle and manage
work in systematic way. In today’s era, AI is used in many sectors which are discussed as below:
Healthcare – AI has erased the problems which is been faced by health care industry. It has also
helped doctors to determine accurate dose of drugs or medicines that are given to the patients
especially in case of cancer treatment. With this technology advancement, to find right treatment
for cancer has been made easy for doctors. It has allowed professionals to find cure of various
types of diseases. With advancement in technology new types of machines and methods are been
developed which has made it easy in providing care services. For old age people, robots are used
as friend. They help them to carry out activities and take care of them as well.
Science and technology- AI systems are been used in science to identify different ways of how
human life can be improved. It has resulted in development of various tools and equipment that
can be used in daily life (Ishii, 2017). Through this, it has become easy for human to live a
comfortable life. AI has given base for scientist to research at higher level. They have searched
out new areas through which needs can be fulfilled.
Households – The major advantage AI has provided is security for household. It has given
advance application and software through which security is enhanced. Furthermore, it has

transformed interior of household. People do not have to worry about being theft. It has
modernised way of building houses.
Virtual assistance – AI consists of a voice command which enables human to give command to
devices to perform tasks. There are many applications or software or devices like chatbots, Apple
Siri, Alexa, Google Now or Cortana etc., these devices and applications take commands from the
user and send those commands to other applications as demanded by the user.
Benefits of AI
In present time AI is already been used in health care, hospitality, automobile sector, etc.
AI systems have modified way of managing work. Robots are been used in offering care to
patients. In addition to it, robotic surgical system is used to develop and design artificial arms,
legs and other body parts for disabled people. In US AI is used in diagnosing cancer patients.
Through this, results obtained are positive. The treatment is given in more efficient way. Also, it
has accelerated in diagnosis process (Silva, Calixto and Furriel, 2017). Now, within 24 hours
treatment is given to patients. There is no need of human involvement. AI has also reframed the
farming. Advanced machines are used in production of crops. Farmers in US are able to monitor
fields, track weather and obtain knowledge about soil, etc. which has given accurate results.
Hence, they are able to grow crops accordingly. Real time data analytics have helped them to
maximise crop yields and profits. Hence, by using these they are able to work, play, etc. Also, in
other area such as laboratory AI systems detect infection in patients. So, in similar way AI
systems can be used in different areas which will be useful in improving care services and health
of people. In hospitality sector robots are used in taking and delivering orders. This has
simplified order processing system for restaurants. Consequently, waiting time has reduced and
also quality of food is maintained. It has led to enhance in living standard of society. Thus, in
future AI will be aid for humanity.
AI has also given solution to problems which occurs in day to day life of humans. For
example: it has enhanced the security system of households. Implementation of AI have
authorised entire security.
Cons of AI
But on the other hand, there are several disadvantages of AI as well. For instance,
implementation of AI has resulted in replacing humans in organisation (Pros and Cons of AI.
2018). In recent times, many of business operation are automated. So, there is no engagement of

humans. It has led to rise in unemployment (Lewis, 2017). Besides this, systems are developed
through coding. So, any error in it will highly impact on overall system functions. Thus, its
implementation can result in huge loss for business. Likewise, major disadvantage of AI it can
not be improved with technology and time. So, it restricts it from bringing creativity. The
difference can not be made between hardworking individual and AI system.
Challenges in AI
Apart from pros and cons, there are different types of challenges which is faced in AI. It
has made it difficult for humans and organisations to implement it. The foremost challenge is due
to its high cost many companies finds it hard to implement it (Challenges of AI. 2018). This is
because it requires advance and high technical tools and equipment’s to maintain its efficiency.
So, high amount of capital is required. Moreover, humans are focusing on how to increase
capacity of AI but they do not know how it will progress with time. Also, there is lack of
computer power in developing countries (Monat, 2017). Due to this, they are not able to develop
and implement AI. Besides this, in many nations there is not proper technological infrastructure
and policies which assist in executing AI. So, it requires more time that is next generation to
transform overall infra. Another challenge is humans are not having high level of knowledge and
skills to design and develop codes and do programming. They are not able to effectively operate
machines as it requires advance knowledge and systems to work with. There are number of data
scientists available but they only possess primary level knowledge and are specialised in
particular field.
Solutions
There are certain solutions which can be followed in AI. This is because it will help in
making things easier and understanding concept of AI in depth. It can be done by proceeding in
small steps and finding out its evolution and progress. So, it will be useful in determining what
are its future threats and opportunities of using AI (Ali, 2016). Furthermore, new concept and
areas can be identified where AI should be implemented. Besides this, another solution is
rectifying errors which are occurring presently in AI and not progressing further. It will be easy
to find out loopholes and taking measures to improve it. However, if changes are identified with
time AI can be helpful for humanity in future.
So, at present AI is helping humanity to resolve problem of managing work. It has given
tool to people as well as business in reducing complexity. Also, it has simplified activities by

segregating it. But, with integration of machine with technology there has reduction in error.
This is because of less involvement of human. For business, AI has become a great platform to
enhance their productivity (Chace, 2018). They are using AI systems in many business
operations. Through this, speed and accuracy of functions has enhanced. Aside this, there are
many other areas where AI is initially been used. This has raised social life status of human.
Consequently, in future AI will be aid for different purpose as well. It will support people in
making things easier. On the contrary, AI system will require high cost and proper maintenance
to keep its efficiency. It will require depth knowledge and capabilities to make it useful for
human being by reducing its threat and consequences. It is expected in future that there will be
many more changes in AI systems. In every field, AI will be implemented for gaining better
results.
