Chapter 1:
Introduction
1.1 Overview
In the modern world, technology has taken over the development of organizations.
Without the proper technology, it can be difficult for managers to plan strategically for the
growth of a company. At the same time, as stated by [2] employees benefit from technology
as it reduces the work pressure. The most significant contribution made in the world of
technology has been towards the development of Artificial Intelligence since it replicates any
work without having the assistance of human beings.
Therefore, people can utilize the assessment to utilize the technological advances.
According to [1], project managers can utilize Artificial Intelligence to enhance the services it
provides. The project managers can identify ways that help the machine technology to
provide service delivery.
The use of Artificial Intelligence in the management of the different kinds of the
projects helps the management to perform the different types of the regular activities
smoothly and paves the way for the proper administration of the projects. The insights are
uncovered through the efficient use of artificial intelligence process, perform different kinds
of the complex tasks of the business, provide the necessary recommendations and make a
different type of business decisions accordingly. The level of the science provided by
Artificial Intelligence system also helps the project to be precise and attain the different kinds
of the goals of the business. The management of the organizations use the CHATBOT’s like
PMOTTO or the strategies to gather and create different kinds of activities.

1.2 Problem statement
The problem statement, which the research needs to focus on, is the use of Artificial
Intelligence for the development of the services provided by the project managers. The major
problem that occurs in trying to make Artificial Intelligence compatible with the project
managers is the fact that without the direct involvement of the people, managing the projects
can be difficult.
According to [12], of late, there has been a rise in the use of bots in Artificial
Intelligence system cases for project management. The bots are a kind of software that can
respond to the inputs provided by the human. The use of the bots in project management can
be helpful; for the smooth and fast communication in the project process [4]. The aims and
objectives of the research define the way forward for the following project.
1.3 Research aim
The aim of the research is to identify how the managers of a project can utilize the
different kinds of the modern tools used in the project management process to ensure the
smooth and easy operations of the project. The research aims to provide a basis for the use of
the modern kinds of the tools of artificial intelligence and their positive impact on the success
of the project.
1.4 Research objectives
The objectives of the following research are as follows,
 To create efficient project management and easy use portal with the help of AI
 To develop the easy project management activities of organization members
 Get Easy KPI (Key Performance Indicator) report of each member using CHATBOT
 To Notify the meeting reminders through CHATBOT

1.5 Research questions
The research questions include:

CHATBOT?
 How to notify the meeting reminders through CHATBOT?

making a recommendation?
1.6 Research rationale
The identification of the development of technology was the main purpose of carrying
out the research. It also helped to find out the manner in which it can help in the
implementation of business across the sectors. According to [5], artificial intelligence can
result in the development of advanced technology in the business organizations and it can
help to ensure that business organizations can contribute to the development of technologies.
The reason behind conducting the research is to ensure that specific parts of an organization

such as the department managed by the project managers can account for the use and
development of Artificial Intelligence.
The management of the project can be systematized and formulated in a much better
manner and can be done in a proper and effective manner with the implementation of
Artificial Intelligence. The planning, management, organization, as well as the different kinds
of monitoring activities at the time of project management process, is easier through the
implementation of Artificial Intelligence process. The implementation of the AI in project
management can help to make the project more specific and accurate in nature. The use of the
bot and the other management tools, which are technically advanced, are thus capable of
making a positive impact on the project. The research has shed light on the use of the bot and
these tools on different projects.
1.7 Structure of the dissertation
The chapters of the dissertation help in forming an overall structure of the
dissertation. The chapters include the introduction, literature review, research methodology,
analysis, findings, conclusion, and recommendation. The chapters play a significant role in
trying to complete the dissertation in a successful manner. In the introduction chapter, the
research provides an overview of the research topic selected and identified the problem.
The chapter also helps to form the research aim, objectives and questions, used in the
other chapters of the research while trying to justify the research topic. The second chapter
consists of the literature review which analysis past researches based on the same topic in a
critical manner so that related information can be presented with relevant theories. The third
chapter consists of the research methodology, which helps to understand the application of
research methods by providing justification for their selection.

This can help in the authentic and quality data analysis of the data that is collected.
The data analysis chapter analyses the data, based on the data and methodology for achieving
the research aim and objectives. The discussion chapter helps to interpret and discuss the data
collected by using the research methodology. The dissertation concludes through this
following process. Finally, the conclusion and recommendation chapter help to deduce a
conclusion by identifying the gap, which exists in the research and links the research with the
objectives.
1.8 Summary
As a summary, the introduction chapter provides an analysis of the problem and the
manner in which it effectively uses in modern world. Artificial Intelligence plays an
important role in the advanced development of technologies and thus, it acts as one of the
most vital innovations for business. The research aim and objectives easily relate to the
application of artificial intelligence. The next chapter identifies the literature associated with
understanding the concept of Artificial Intelligence and analyzing any theories or
relationships that may exist for assisting the project managers.

2.0 Literature Review
2.1 Introduction
The literary review part of the dissertation is a major chapter in the research because it
studies the different perspectives of the research and links the research questions with the
study in a systematic manner. The literature review is also significant in case of a dissertation
as because it is involved in the study of the different kinds of secondary researches clearly
linked to the subject of the research. In this particular research, the use of different researches

based on secondary articles and researches on the same topic has been an important part of
the research. The literary review has also addressed the research questions formulated in the
first chapter. The review of the literary sources paves the way for further analysis and study
of the topic. The literature review has provided different perspectives related to the use of AI
and the ways it can be adapted to make the business process simpler in nature.
2.2 Concept of Artificial Intelligence and its Identification
Artificial Intelligence is described as a simulation of the process of intelligence
amongst human beings through the use of the different kinds of machines and other
mechanical tools. The following simulation process comprises of different kinds of learning
activities like the gathering of the information and also the best use of the systems. The
process also involves the use of the reasoning process and the corrections by means of self-
judgment [2]. Artificial Intelligence nowadays is used in different kinds of business
applications like that of voice recognitions, different types of systems involving experts and
also the use of the machinery vision. Artificial Intelligence is generally categorized under two
different kinds involving strong and weak systems. The weak systems are generally produced
and designed for the completion of a specific task. There are many examples of such kind of
systems which are meant to deliver only a specific form of task. On the other hand, there are
systems that are very strong [2]. This kinds of systems can be categorized under strong
Artificial Intelligence. The better-developed systems based on artificial systems are important
for the completion of a multitude of tasks [15]. This kind of systems is often designed to
provide human-like activities and deliver the task in a much more precise and accurate
manner. The presence of a strong Artificial Intelligence system reduces the human burden
and increases the accuracy of the work.
