AI Summary
This essay delves into the multifaceted question of whether artificial intelligence poses a threat to society. It begins by defining AI and its various subfields, highlighting its role in data-driven solutions and the increasing demand for skilled professionals. The essay explores both the positive and negative impacts of AI, including its potential to enhance administrative functions, reduce crime, and support daily life. However, it also examines the risks of over-reliance on AI, job displacement due to automation, and the weaponization of AI. The author discusses the impact of AI on different job categories, predicting the disappearance of certain roles while emphasizing the importance of acquiring skills that robots cannot replicate. The essay concludes by asserting that the real danger lies in the weaponization of AI and underscores the importance of international cooperation and public awareness to mitigate these risks. The essay references several academic sources to support its arguments.

Introduction
Artificial intelligence is not a single concept; instead, it is a term that refers to the
combination of enormous volumes of data, rapid repetitive processing, and
sophisticated algorithms. We train the software with this massive amount of data and
collecting various software to accomplish a specific task is critical in establishing
Artificial Intelligence. AI is a vast field, and to fully understand it, you must be familiar
with machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, cognitive computing, computer
vision, and natural language processing, as well as some other technologies that enable
or support AI, such as graphics processing units, the Internet of Things, advanced
algorithms, scientific calculations, and APIs, or application programming interfaces.

Analytics Jobs. I also created and cleared my basics from there.
With automation, today, organisations are looking for a data-driven solution. You can
figure out the facts to help you predict the near future and choose the best options for
100% profit through data.
The demand for skilled candidates who can handle this large amount of data and can
use this data to bring meaningful insights to the company is in order. However, there is

a significant shortage of candidates. Today, several institutes provide e-education and
are up-skilling aspirants looking for a transition into this domain.
The development of artificial intelligence is a threat to society.
AI has a preeminent role to play in the era of technology and its ever upgrading
features. AI has several impacts on society; it is the key for better functioning of the
administration as it can help in several fields as an example; in the cases of
investigation where there is no possibility of any evidence if we do not use the AI
technology like DNA printing, brain mapping etc. Hence AI can act as a boon in
decreasing the rate of crime levels in a society by creating a fear among the people to
get caught. There are many other instances where AI has been declared as a boon in
solving many cases. Hence the government should make it mandatory for their
administrative officers to know about the AI to have greater transparency and develop a
reasonable consensus.
Artificial intelligence already supports us in our everyday life. A perfect memory was
once an essential feature of a man. Today we forget quickly because we can google it
again in a minute. We don't even attempt to memorise things because we more and
more rely on organisers, search engines, Wikipedia, stored documents, etc.
And this is like going around in a wheelchair: you might start using a wheelchair just
because you feel a little weak, or even just for fun. But if you don't use your legs for
weeks, the muscles in your legs will vanish. If you try then to stand on your legs, you'll

not feel stable. The longer you use the wheelchair, the more you will rely on it. After a
year, you will not be able to use your legs for walking.
And the more we rely on artificial intelligence, the less we will train our human
intelligence. As a consequence, we will end up entirely dependent on artificial
intelligence to solve our daily problems.
Nearly every industry has already been impacted and enhanced by Automated and
Intelligent Systems. Companies are improving their workforce with machine-assisted
workers from laptops to cell phones to make them more efficient and better informed.
Our technology has changed how we book flights/hotels, order food online or even
search on Google. There are automated tools for every industry and almost any
repetitive task. There is an AI for intelligent market research, music composition,
meeting transcriber, and even assist with scheduling meetings, to name a few. The list
is growing exponentially, and as adoption rates increase, the number of AI Agents in the
workplace increases.
I've previously answered this type of question with four distinct categories of work.
Human only: Numerous tasks are still best performed by humans. We excel in creative,
instinct-driven activities that require many contexts to complete. Additionally, we excel
at posing questions and developing theories based on our findings. This is already the
area in which consultants excel, and it will remain so for some time.
Human + Informed: As I previously stated, many consultants already work with a data-
driven approach. With the ability to analyse vast volumes of data, we've grown

accustomed to relying on it for day-to-day decision-making. Data visualisation and
analytics have become the norm in various fields, such as web analytics, corporate
intelligence, and stock analytics.
Human + Machine Assisted: Humans have been coexisting with machines for an
extended period. Consider how we all use the auto-correct spelling option in our emails
and documents. Or the phone and laptop on which you are currently reading this and
the role it plays in your day-to-day at work. This is the true potential of big data,
predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence.
Machine Only: Machines have already supplanted humans in several industries.
Consider automobile production or even something as easy as internet flight and hotel
booking. Humans build and manage the algorithms that power these services, while
robots generate the critical metrics. Many of these industries require consultants to
assist with implementing new systems and the optimisation of current ones.
Using our current level of technology, we can already automate tedious tasks and
enhance our relationship and understanding of data. We'll only get better at this as we
learn to use our Automated Systems in new and creative ways. Maybe a bit optimistic,
but I see it every day!
AI will almost certainly impact existing jobs. The extent to which it will do that is probably
not predictable at the moment. We do not know how far AI will progress, nor do we
know whether social forces may slow down the adoption.

When I was leaving University and entering my first period of employment in the 1970s,
most organisations had typing pools, and most engineering establishments had drawing
offices. These two jobs were a high proportion of the job opportunities available to
people who did not go to University but wanted to work in an office.
Now, none of these jobs existed thirty years on as software packages displaced such
jobs. Was there mass unemployment as a result? No, because new job opportunities
were created, and people entered other perhaps more, perhaps less exciting careers.
Jobs like cab drivers, waiters, housemaids, etc., will disappear in the coming future.
Jobs that require physical strength, no skill or no creative thinking will completely
disappear. You have heard of something of drone home delivery. If it becomes
successful in future, then there will be no delivery boy as well. That's why many famous
personalities have said to invest time in acquiring a skill. The jobs that will exist in the
future will be something that robots can't do; those jobs require thinking and creativity.
E.g. Music producers, dancers, choreographers, surgeons (maybe), etc. The future will
be the robot era. But it will take approximately 20–30 years or more. By the way, no one
knows about the future. It's just an assumption that is made by observing the current
scenario. You don't need to worry too much until you are learning something new every
day. Just keep learning and become a better version of yourself.
So, where will Deep Machine Learning AI impact the job market? Almost certainly, it will
affect the professions. Tools that use AI will make professionals more efficient. It will
move repetitive analytical jobs since AI will function better and faster. Where it will not
affect are roles that require dealing with people face to face.

Conclusion:
Artificial General Intelligence is not an imminent threat, in my view. The real danger to
Humanity is the weaponisation of AI. I think the risk is inversely proportional to the
extent of the cooperation among nations and public awareness about it, which can help
avoid the resolution of conflicts by force. The Weaponisation of AI on an autonomous
system is dangerous since it bypasses the Human part in the decision-making process.
