INTRODUCTION
The aim of conducting this report is to determine role of marketing, finance, operation
and human resources in a ASDA (Desai, Howe and Murray, 2020). It also include evaluating
importance of all these functions working together.
MAIN BODY
Purpose/ role of different department
Marketing – The main role of marketing department of ASDA is to identify customers
need and demand whom they are targeting in potential market. Moreover they also
develop decision for satisfying customers as well as retain them for long time. Respective
company marketing department mainly provide reason to customers to that they come
back at store regularly which increase sales.
Finance – Respective department of ASDA conduct several role such as they are
responsible for the end to every financial year to maintain record how well respective
firm is performing. They also develop several financial account of respective firm such as
trading account, profit and loss account and balance sheet. Respective department also
develop proper budget according to company expenses.
Operations/ Production The respective department of ASDA perform role of
conducting production of promoting material which is outsourced to the third party,
recording studios, production houses and so on (Ghauri, Grønhaug and Strange, 2020).
They also ensure that manufacturing of agency's work is of high standard as well as for
that production or operations manager conduct scheduling. Respective company
production or operations manager also ensure that all the operations are conducted in
proper manner.
Human resource – In ASDA the HR manager conduct several role such as done planning
related to compensation and benefits of employees, they also perform role of recruiter in
which they hire best employees at vacant position. HR department also ensure that ASDA
working environment is positive as well as effective.
Importance of different department all together
There are different functions of ASDA that are very important in order to successfully
and effectively performing business practices (Hausfather and Peters, 2020). Human resource of

organisation will lead to correctly manage employees of organisation and increase their
capability to effectively conduct task. This is important for boosting moral of employees and
developing their skills to carry out task. Marketing is consider as the important for business as it
will lead to increase sales and profits of business. Marketing practices is essential for increase
awareness about ASDA products and services as well as attracting more customers towards
business. In addition to this in ASDA operational/ production department are important because
they ensure that all the operations and functions are conducting in smooth manner which help in
satisfying customers demand and third party expectation (Schaper, 2020). Moreover, main
importance of HR department is that they hire best candidate according to company requirement
which help attaining desire goal. Furthermore, all these departments conduct their work together
due to which company able to attain their desire goal and objective successfully. All department
are interrelated with each other such as when finance department access funds to other
departments they able to perform their duties effectively.
CONCLUSION
Through above evaluation it is determined that in a company marketing, finance,
operation and human resources all plays essential role in all together.
