held responsible for identifying their current needs and the obligations. This project report is all
about resolving the issues of CRM in this entity which further affecting the business performance
of an enterprise. The different principles and the importance of project management principles
and the systems are followed in order to identify the solutions to all the problems.

1.1 Describe background and principles of project management
Project management is that discipline where the whole projects are analyses in the
present in order to predict its future obligations. This is regarded as one of the important
approach in which the process has framed to analyze the future obligations to save the time of
the business (Gollenia, 2016). This is a process which includes setting and developing specific
market goals and the objectives to resolve the issues in achieving desired aims and the targets.
The weaknesses of the project will be bring out which involves time allotted to each and every
tasks with the funding requirements The finance need to be arranged by an enterprise to meet the
financial requirements of the business to support their overall project aim.
Principle of project management
Vision and Mission- The current project management issue is to resolve the issues faced by an
entity in CRM which affects the overall business performance of the business concern. The
beginning of the project will accompany with end solution to this problem.
Business objectives- The objectives framed y an entity is to reduce the current obligations
imposed on the business. The sales will be improved by focusing on accomplishing needs and

among both the entities.
Understanding customer requirement- The customers need and their expectations towards the
products of ASDA are recognizes by conducting online survey on the website of this entity. The
requirements of the buyers will be identified in order to design new products or add unique
features in the dame products to attract wide number of customers towards this enterprise. The
customers expectations are identified by taking consent of an individual who visit the retail store
or online store of this enterprise by offering online vouchers and coupons to steal their interest.

The project aim will be achieved by an entity in order to prepare closure requirement of
the business in advance as the closing of the project need to be defined in advance in order to
meet the basic requirements of the existing project. The end vision of the current project is to
meet the customer obligations by preparing current framework. The closure requirement framed
in advance will be helpful in order justify the project aims and the targets. The justification is to

3.1 Prepare project plans and establish the project organization

era of fierce competition it is very important to craft strategy to attract and retain customers. It is
very important to entice the relevant entity in proper manner to convert prospective in to real
one. Project plan of CRM for the ASDA are as follows.
Developing marketing strategy: In this stage ASDA will develop marketing strategy for its
business (Samset and Volden, 2016). Tactics will be developed in such a way by using which
more sales can be generated from existing customers and prospective can be converted in to real
one.
Generation of data related to the relevant entity: In this stage data related to the people will be
collected from social media like Facebook. In this regard contact will be establish with the social
media and firms that are doing a work related to text analytics.
Establishing contact with customers: In third stage on the basis of derived information calls will
be done to the individuals that already purchase products from the ASDA store and feedback in
respect to service will be collected from them.
Communication of information to entity: On receipt of project on relevant time period call back
will be done the customers and relevant information will be provided to the customers.
3.2 Application of project scheduling, estimating and cost control techniques
Gantt chart is the basic technique that is used to do project scheduling. Under Gantt chart
diagram of sequence of activities is prepared (Gollenia, 2016). If it is identified that in specific
activity greater time is required the duration that is allotted to the less important activity is
curtailed. In this way project scheduling is done by using Gantt chart. There are lots of methods
that are used by the project managers to estimate the project cost. Under this past year data is
used by the managers and same is analyzed to estimate the likely amount of expenditure that
ASDA may need to made on the specific project. There are many methods of the cost control
like economic order quantity that are used by the ASDA to ensure that only required quantity of
goods are purchased from the market. Mentioned method prove effective for the firm.

3.3 Methods used to measure project performance
In order to measure project performance start and end time of each activity is taken in to
account. In this regard Microsoft project software is used by the managers (Gacasan and
Wiggins, 2016). In case delay is made in performance of the project task which lead to traction
in cost. This is interpreted as poor project performance in the specific duration. In case it is find
out that project task is completed before determined time then in that case it is assumed that
strong performance of project. Cost ratio is another method that is used to measure project
performance. Cost ratio reflects the variation that is observed in cost in respect to specific
variable. Hence, on the basis of change in cost ratio performance of project is measured.
3.4 Project change control procedures and evaluation of project
In the project change control procedure first stage is to propose a change that needs to be
implement (Padalkar and Gopinath, 2016). Thereafter, details about the impact that
implementation of change have on the business is evaluated. Decision in respect to
implementation change is made in third stage. Finally, in the fourth stage change is implemented
at the workplace. On evaluation of project, it is identified that same completed on time and
ASDA create many new one and retain old customers in the business.

It can be concluded from above project that project management technique has applied in
order to resolve the existing issue of CRM faced by ASDA. The current problems get simplified
by using variety of tools and technique to meet the specific requirements of an entity in order to
achieve higher level of customer satisfaction. The project plan has used which further helps in
scheduling the overall project.
