Literature Review
According to Keay, and Iqbal, (2018), equality and diversity practices becomes important
part of many rising retail company in the world for that they have to implement in the firm in
right manner by framing policies and creating a procedure for it. From the last decade treating
employees as a potential resources increase and for that company made many changes in
traditional practices; for example, now performance of each employee's will be calculated and
according to that they grow in corporate and hence equality concept comes in the mind of bosses
and management. If the employees feel equal and part of organization then it increases
efficiency, quality and productivity of work. As per the view of Khan, and et.al, (2019), adoption
of such practices also become necessary after government has passed various law related laws
for industries such as Equality Act, Human Rights Act, Sex Discrimination Act, Disability
Discrimination Act and Race Relations Act. Company has to implement in working culture of
the firm and no worker in the firm can isolated and discriminated in any way.
In the opinion of Keay, and Iqbal, (2018),, There are multiple challenges that firm are
facing in adoption of equality and diversity practices for example company can implement this
but in real ground human difference are high and hence it becomes barrier. It also stated that firm
loses financial capacity because of it for instance communication problem of diverse workforce
decrease productivity, quality and productivity of work. On the contrary Kirton, and Greene
(2017), explain that these policies and procedures can be implemented successful if firm gives
provide proper training and management program for it. Also, and management and HRM joint
role can be one of the way by which it can be adopted. Orientation program, activities, team task

etc. related to it can also help in proper adoption of equality and diversity policies and

P2. Project management plan
Development of project management plan was very important task in this project work,
because after developing a very effective project management plan, all activities of research was
conducted in proper channel. The project management plan has basically provided a specific
framework of whole research project work (Harding, 2018). In this situation, after considering
project management plan, anyone can simply identify that which activities needs to be conducted
and which activities needs to be avoided while completing the research. The plan always projects
different elements of work which has been discussed below;
Scope
Scope of the current research work is very large, because topic “equality and diversity” is
very broad. There was required to visit different place for finding appropriate data for the project
work. Many times, there was required to visit in an organisation also for taking interview of
different employees and workers, so that the scope of existing research is very broad and large.
Time
Total time period of seven weeks was required for completing present research work.
Basically, the main time requires in a research project in two activities called, data collection and
data analysis. These both tasks generally consume lots time in project workplace, so that these
was required huge time existing project as well, and that’s why the whole research was
completed in seven weeks. On the other side, time period of one year will be required in the
implementation of research findings and outcomes in the organisation.
Quality
Maintaining an excellent quality in the collected data was also a very important task in
the research work, so that there was a data analysis technique used for maintaining logicalness in
collected data. After implementing the data analysis technique, only such data has been included
in the present research work which are really productive as well as effective.
Cost
Total amount of £4100 was required to conduct different activities of project, and at the
end after using this amount, the final objective of research has successfully achieved (Wilcox,
2016). The sheet of expenses has been attached below;
Document Page
Area of expenses Amount (£)
Assistance salary 1500
Internet cost 350
Travelling cost 400
Conveyance cost 250
Consultancy fees 500
Books & Journals cost 1100
Total 4100
The cost of £65700 will be required for implementing the findings and outcomes of
research work in the organisation.
Communication
Communication was played a very positive role while completing the research project.
Basically, when anyone visit one place to another for collecting data, on that time it has required
to interact with many people. That’s why well-developed communication skills have contributed
in achieving final objective of research.
Risk
Different risk factors were also affected to existing research work while collecting data
through various selected places (Sarvaiya and Eweje, 2016). For example; the first risk was
relating to decided time period exceed, second risk was relating to data stolen etc. These was
major risk factors in this work.
Resources
There were many resources given their great contribution in collecting existing research
work. For example; articles, newspapers, business magazines, vehicles, books and journals and
human resource (assistant), etc. These all resources are really productive in order to complete a
research project on time.
P3.WBS and Gantt Chart

Document Page

according to it. It is one of the efficient tool, researcher use this in project management and
research area so that work can be done in effective way and timely. It add all elements of
research such as scope, cost and schedule baselines etc. and hence able to analyse project plan
alignment (Kirton, 2020).
Gantt Chart
Scheduling plan is done with the help Gantt chart. It gives idea about time taken by
different activity such as fund collection, setting aim etc. Visual view of task schedule can help
scholar in proper following time and resources. Different elements are in this such as start date of
the project, types of project task, person working on task, start and end time of task,
accomplishing time of task, tasks group together, overlap and connect with each other and the
complete date of project.

analysis of data by graph, bar etc. and later one focused on representation of information
numerically for study with the help of software. Researcher has chosen thematic for Asda's
employee's questionnaire for analysis data and also it helps in proper representation of
information. It is less time-consuming and creativity increase interest of scholar as well observer.
Ethical Consideration:
In refers to safety and protection of information related to respondent and associated.
There are number of points that are associated in ethical consideration. Participant cannot harm
by the information they provided to scholar and also dignity & respect cannot be effected from
the research. In the beginning consent of respondent has to be taken with all closure and
procedure must address in the form so that future mistakes can be avoided. Scholar has given
consent and describe in details and also in written the way in which data is use by the scholar and
ensure their safety for example if the employee of Asda gives negative comment then name will
be not out.
Research Limitation:
It is difficult to gather information related to topic for scholar still able to specific sources
taken. Time was very limited in research but scholar able to manage it and gives in depth study
relating to it. In the beginning Asda management and employee's both refuse for the study but
scholar is able to convenience them and to take their consent in written. Lack of existing record
related to study again create a problem but with fresh data records timely increase accuracy of
result for the research.
Data Analysis
Data analysis is a process in which gathered data is represented by the scholar. In this
thematic analysis of data is done by the scholar and collect information from employee's Of
Asda. Thematic analysis is done by following 6 steps, namely Familiarization, Coding,
generating themes, Reviewing themes, Defining and naming themes and Writing up.
In this scholar transform the information into graph and bar that is gathered from the
respondent by giving questionnaire. Secondary data is use in discussion to give broader comment
on problems and solution related to study.
