INTRODUCTION
Every organization need to run project activities in their business environment to finding
new business ways. Project is not just a small thing, in which the organization need to plan for
the specific project, need to arrange specific resources to run the project activities. Some
intelligence also needed during project activities for reduce the unnecessary cost and time.
Project activities should be productive for the business environment. New projects are generally
helping to the organization to produce or innovate such new products and services for the
customers. Companies are need proper management of the project to get positive results from the
projects activities. It includes ASDA company, which is working on a new business project, and
the aim of the project is to launch the furniture products in the market.
Task 1
LO1.1: Project control documentation
Before the launching project, company need to prepare project plan documentation to run
all projects activities in systematic manner. It is necessary to manage all activities in proper
channel. There are some major elements of the project plan documentation are discusses below;
1. Stakeholders: ASDA is one of the major retailer companies in the United Kingdom.
Currently company working on the project which is based on the launching new furniture
products in the market (Conforto and Amaral, 2016). In which before the project
activities company need to share this project plan with their stakeholders, and try to
understand opinions of the stakeholders about the project. Then all conditions are suitable
from the side of stakeholders to run project activities, in that case ASDA able to start
their new project work.
2. Purpose: Every project always has their own purpose. There are the purpose of the
ASDA's new project is to enter the new product market. In which company choose the
furnitures as a product to launch in the market. The purpose and vision is clear of the
company. Company wants to spread their business activities for gaining more profit in
the market.
3. Scope: At the initial stage company only focus on the market on the United Kingdom to
run their project activities. So, at the starting point scope of the project is only a country
based. According to the project success the company will decide to increase scope of the
project.

4. Time Table: Every project process needs high time at the initial stage, because it is the
developing stage of the project. In the case of this ASDA, management of the company is
made productive teams in the business environment which are specially responsible to
handle the all new project activities for every day of the week (Turner, 2018). These
teams prepare the specific time table for the specific project activities, because proper
time management is very necessary for the any project success.
5. Aims and Objectives: Aims and objectives behind the new projects are clear for the
company. In this project company plan for the gain more profit in the market to launch
new type of the products. Currently company working in the retail industry, and gaining
so much revenue every year, but now company decide to launch furniture products too in
the market to generate more revenue for the organization by using the specific business
strategies.
6. Resources: Company need many important resources to run the all project activities in
the market. The major resources are; Capital, Human Resource, Technological support,
Raw material for the production of furnitures, etc. The management of the company is
responsible to arrange these all resources for the project process.
7. Budget: Preparation of the budget is also very necessary step towards project activities.
In which the project manager need to prepare or make an effective budget plan for the
project activities which help in organize the needed resources for the decided project.
8. Additional Documentation: Company also need to cover the additional formalities of
the documentation for the project activities (Muriana and Vizzini, 2017). In this
documentation company add some legal terminologies to run the all project activities in
proper channel.
LO1.2: Contingency measures for the project
Contingency measures are useful for the project process to deal with the future situations
or conditions. Many of the businesses are using it as a plan B for the project activities. There are
includes some specific steps below to design contingency measure for the project;
1. Analyse the key risks: Management of the ASDA need to analyse the key risk factor in
the process of project activities. Management also need to work on the uncertainty
conditions which is totally depends on the future changes. In that case company need to
study or analyse the basic risk factors which is may probably impact the project activities.

LO2.1: Carry out the project
In the project process this is the major responsibility of the project administrator or
manager to give every information about project activities to the stakeholders of the company
(Zwikael, 2016). They are responsible to know the current conditions of the project. Every action
which company has taken it will impact to the all stakeholders. So, this project is also comes
under company's new action towards launching new product. There are many ways to keeping
stakeholders up to date throughout. In which company need build string communication network
to communicate with the stakeholders, and aware them about the project process. All
stakeholders have legal right to know the development of the project. Company is responsible to
clear all stakeholders about objectives behind the new project, strategies which company use
during project operations, time duration of the project, scope of the project activities, resources
use in project process, and the lastly major aim behind the new project. In which the shareholders
are mainly needs to know what kind of the projects is company wants to start, because they are
also the owner of the company. Management of the ASDA need to develop their interaction
values within the organization to contact their stakeholders for aware them about the project
current condition. All project activities need to run under the supervision of the investors to make
sure them their invest is move on the progressive path. In carry out the project, manager need to
find new strategies to keeping stakeholders up to date throughout about the project (Glukhov,

Ilin and Levina, 2015). Suppose maintain app or site for the project to share all information about
activities to the stakeholder. Another way to keep up to date stakeholders is invite them on the
project site to show the current condition of the project, and also share the future plan of the
project with the stakeholders.
LO2.2: Project control documentation
This is one of the major responsibilities of the project administrator to keep project
control documentation up to date. There are various project control documentation mentioned
below which project administrator need to keep up to date;
1. Project Charter: Project administrator mainly need to keep project charter up to date,
because this is the overview statement of the project. In which that all information
includes which relate with the project. Suppose when some fund inflow in the project
activities, in that case project administrator need to add this fund flow entry in the project
charter document.
2. Risk Tracker: Risk tracker document of the project also need to be up to date by the
project manager, because this document is one of the major documents of project process
(Shirley, 2016). The risk tracker document help to the manager to analyse or track the
risk elements for the project. Then manager able to prepare specific plan to deal with
these risks.
3. Contract Document: This document also need to be up to date, because this is the proof
of the contract within project activities. For the running project process company need to
sign contract with the many major financial institutions for fund aspect, contract also sign

impacts of the activities or attempts which taken under the project process. Every aspect of the
activities is need to be cover by the project manager to deal with these unexpected events.
The another unexpected event during the project is once some employees within project
work are fighting with each other. This event is concluded as a failure of the project
administrator or manager, because the administrator is fail in the making good work culture for
the employees. For dealing with this type of unexpected events the administrator need to
improve good communication and interaction values within the project employees. With the help
of this action all employees are able to understand each other, and feel comfortable in working
together. The manager of the project is responsible to create a positive work environment for the
employees during project activities, otherwise performance of the project will be decrease day by
day (Williams and Bolduc, 2019). For making this type of work environments project authority
need to organize some meetup events for the employees, where all employees interact with each
other. This step is helpful in the making good relations within all employees.

There are various ways for the project administrator to improve the project performance
below;
1. Increase productivity of the employees: For the improvement of the project

employees or people which comes under their command. With the help of these sessions
employees are able to improve their skills, productivity, and workability in the project
environment (Weiss, Hoegl and Gibbert, 2017). Once their productivity increase in the
project activities, the performance of the project is automatically improved.
2. Use modern management strategies: The project administrator need to develop or find
modern management strategies in the project activities to take high work from the
resources with minimum cost. With help of the latest management strategies the process
